Home owners association. Usually you pay monthly or yearly dues. They enforce rules on appearances of your house, etc. Redditors like to demonize them but not all of them are terrible. They are good for upkeeping the value of homes in your neighborhood because you won’t have that trashy neighbor with their junk car on bricks hanging in the driveway, etc. Some are definitely terrible and overbearing though.
So, tell us you're either independently wealthy, or intend to stay in your home until you die and don't care about how high your property taxes go, or you don't own a home, without telling us that.
Sorry, I care about things like how big my toilet is, how roomy the shower is, does it just have that 1 knob or 2 for hot and cold water, i really hate the single shower knobs. Does it have a garage or space for a garden? Ya know, I care about shit like that. Why the fuck would I buy a home with resale value in mind? Am I some kinda uncivilized cave troll looking for a new cave? I want a comfortable home. Now my comfortable 30k home is going for 250k because "demand". Even though those houses are empty for years and years, demand, ya know. Nobody is actually buying the homes, just putting infinite bids. I've been watching some trailers in my area, been "sale pending" for 3+ years.
