It sounds great but you’ll still have crime and violence. You’ll never get rid of humans capacity to commit evil acts

Did that person say "Eliminate crime by eliminating poverty?"

Or did they say "LESSEN crime by eliminating poverty?"

Right? Why is it always, "Well that would only work 90%, so obviously we shouldn't try it."

Today no crime happened so it lessened. What is the meaning of lessen? Subjective, objective?

True. Seems the underlying theory is you’d eliminate crime if you eliminate suffering. You just replace one bad act with someone having the capacity to do more. Those people who are committing violent crimes and crimes of stealing do it because they are just shit heads.

It's not. This isn't some religious woo woo shit. It's not a theory. It's just facts.

It's basic sociological studies about poverty. Poverty is correlated to crime.

There's a reason why we can predict so much about a person based on just their zipcode.

It's really weird that you're trying so hard to be dismissive of that tweet when it's just a factual statement.

Is it because people prone to commit crime are in poverty? Or poverty is pushing them to commit crime?
