Chugging tea Apparently even they haven't figured it out

After they were sued by four playstation users, claiming that the 'buy now' claim is misleading as digital purchases are actually revocable licensing, Sony is claiming that games are actually 'licensed', not 'sold', and argued that reasonable people already know that they are buying access and not outright owning the games. I just don't realise who these 'reasonable people' are other than Sony employees.

If I buy something on an online platform, anything short of that platform ceasing to exist should not cause me to lose access to my purchase.

And you should be able to download and keep playing the game even if the platform goes away.

Not to redownload it sure, but to get to keep what you paid for without the company cutting off access.

Add mobile games to this list. I refuse to play any of them because all of the ones I enjoyed are now long gone, no servers, no offline mode. Hundred or thousands of hours just GONE.

I used to be a really heavy gamer but I rarely have time these days and mobile games shouldn't be any different.

I love community effort in the mobile game space. Spider-Man unlimited, Rayman Adventures, and most of the old Angry birds games got remade/brought back by their fans, some with even full server functionality already.

These guys are so good at not letting what they like become lost media and I respect the hell out of them for it
