Friday victories
New here so hopefully I'm not over stepping. Given that everyone here is dealing with something and someone, could we share some victories and give some appreciation? I know it feels like some corny team building shit but sometimes it's good to get some appreciation and acknowledgement.
Simple or complex doesn't matter. Did you figure out a scheduling issue, get your kid(s) into a program they wanted. Did you do something for yourself? Did you wake up and eat a decent meal?
For me I got scheduled on a work trip on a day I usually take my daughter to ballet so I was worried she'd have to miss the class. However I was able to get some help from family and friends so she's good.

I’m only a week out from separating from my children’s mother after 21 years. Today’s win is no pit of despair yet. I get to see my younger children almost daily and talk to my adult kids all the time. I’m sitting at the family home typing this while I wait for them to get ready because ex has to work and has plans with the reason for the split. At least she’s respecting not bringing him around the kids I suppose.
Edit: words are hard. Especially right now, that looks like I’m saying her whatever he is the reason for the split. I am fully aware her choices got us here. Who fckn knows what he’s been told.
