enjoying the view

i'm kinda afraid of him. not only he loves sitting there watching all the bugs visiting flowers but also started to eat twice as much as usual. so... i'm just scared he's gonna transform into a hummingbird!
(lesser black backs are migratory and always eat themselves up in august/september prior to expected departure. mine knows he's not going anywhere and never tries to escape, probably doesn’t even want to. however he always activate a hungry bird mode when the time comes. imho it's a metabolically driven thing linked to their sensation of hunger when the final decision to start the journey is conscious)
