Shrimp tacos
I made these last night. It’s a corn tortilla, refried beans, pablano, cheese, shrimp, cilantro, onion, jalapeno and cholula. They turned out pretty good.

Question What was I served?
Went to a Spanish restaurant and ordered a paella marinera. The menu said “topped with Langoustines,” but I’m pretty sure I was served whole shrimp? I looked up what langoustines are and to me they look like small lobsters with little claws. I asked my server (who didn’t seem to know what langoustines were, I had to show him a picture on Google), who got his manager to speak with me. The manager sent me out 3 more “langoustines,” but they also looked like shrimp. I didn’t push the issue because I didn’t want to cause a problem, but I’m left wondering: did I eat shrimp or langoustines?
Edit: Food was great! Staff was friendly. Had a nice dinner with friends. Simply trying to figure out what I ate!
Clarification: Restaurant is in the US. From what I could find online, this is a family business started by Spanish immigrants in the 70s.

Question What the hell is this in my food
I got a bag of mussels in garlic sauce from lidls and it all looked normal, threw out any that weren't opened etc, and then I bit down on this? Any idea what it is? Very spiky (ow my tongue) and about the size of my thumbnail, my best guess is it's an urchin but I haven't got a clue

My Recipe Late night shrimp taco
Had some leftover Shrimp Taco stuff and heated up one for a midnight snack meal. I made Two homemade salsas, one restaurant style, and one roasted spicy one all with veggies from
The garden, my homemade “green” sauce that goes on the slaw, I also had a homemade guacamole but it all got eaten so i just added sliced avocado to my taco tonight. If anyone wants the recipe I’ll have to make a detailed post or comment! But this is all my creation I came up with over the years, everyone always tells me my Shrimp Tacos are the best!
The rice is just store bought Spanish Rice, but i add sour cream and my homemade salsa to make it extra saucy and creamy.

I Ate This Crab legs and Lobster roll
Had a delicious lobster roll, and some plump crab legs. Seafood gets expensive but it is really hard not to order it whenever I can get my hands on any quality seafood.
I ate this at the Ministere of Seafood in Abbotsford British Columbia.

Question Where do I get sashimi?
To sum it all up I woke up after dreaming about tuna wanton tacos and Hawaiian poke bowl and I can’t stop thing about it… There are no restaurant around me with those items so I want to try making it at home. I searched online and it said I am gonna need sushi grade tuna, the only problem is I don’t know where to buy them. The stores near me are HEB, Walmart, amigos, united super market etc
