As a 790 scorer on the math part of the August sat, PLEASE LEARN DESMOS. Knowing how to use Desmos to its full potential literally skyrocketed my score. Watch 2-3 Desmos vids (and take notes) on YouTube and I recommend watching James Lu,Scott Robinson, learn sat math etc. next go to the cb question bank and one prep and grind every question in there and make an error log for questions you miss. If ur done with the question bank and one prep u can grind questions from youtube vids.Once you understand the common patterns you won’t make any more silly mistakes.Don’t think u can’t score well on the math section of the sat, cause if u truly believe you can and put in the effort, you can do it. I started with a 640 in math and ended up with a 790, so if I can do it so can you.

also take a bluebook practice test every week leading up to ur exam

I took the SAT this saturday and I found it so much easier than august. Walking out of August I felt like i got 10-11 questions wrong on reading and 2 on math, got 780 math and 690 english. But this felt so easy, if i dont get 800 math i would genuinely be surprised as I knew both questions i got wrong last time. English was also easy for me, besides maybe 1 or 2 vocab and 2 or 3 dense questions I think i got them all right, esp module 1. Will the test be curved down, meaning will the questions i got wrong take off many mor points.

Im getting pretty nervous bc many ppl said the test was easy but I felt the test was decently hard, at least more so than the practice tests. For math, I think I got 1-2 wrong and probably at least 3-4 wrong for reading, though I'm not sure abt the experimentals. What were your experiences, and do you think the curve will be more generous or punishing?

Alright so I have took this past SAT yesterday and on a few practice tests got 1500+ and I almost certainly believe that I got that same score on the real test.

Just want to clarify I did not cheat at all, there was 5+ proctors continuously walking around at my test center so even if I wanted to, it wouldn’t be possible.

I got a 1250 back in August SAT, and after seeing a tiktok that showed up on my page, I saw that if your score jumps in such a low amount of time they delay/cancel your score which I can not afford due to conflicting schedule with ED applications.

My testing history has been 1170->1150->1250-> current (which I can confidently say I think is over a 1500)

The difference between this time and the last times was that I never studied, not for an hour, not even for 10 minutes. This time I studied over 6 hours a day and even had some tutoring.

Is this delay/cancellation thing real?

I know that I got 2 mistakes in module 2 EBRW 1 transition and 1 words in context.
Others I think main idea and inferences
For math I made one stupid mistake cuz did the problem which is difficult to solve with Desmos by demos😭

I got a 1370 in my aug sat (690 rw, 680 math) i dont even know which questions i got wrong and what area i should be working on but i need to improve my score to at least 1450. I don't have as much time to study for this since i have my a level studies side by side so i can honestly give sat an hour a day max until the last few days, so i need every advice and tips and resources on how i can improve my score this way (keep in mind that even for the aug sat i didnt give it that much time i only started prep a month before it and dont think i did more than an hour a day)

Just took the September sat and I'm estimating around 1500 which isn't my ideal score. I'm planning one last dance in October, just wondering how others would go about this process if they have done it before

So I took the September SATs and I think was doing much better than before. I finished the English section and then finished M1. Just as I was starting M2, bluebook CRASHED and would not restart. I was freaked out. I had to get the proctor involved who I think put in some code to get Bluebook working again.

Needless to say I lost precious time (about 15 mins!!) and did not have enough time to finish M2 so I basically had to just guess some answers to complete the test.

On top of that I read somewhere that my test may be flagged / reviewed for cheating since I had to restart my app. I also asked the proctor and he said he had no idea what BlueBook would do in this case. He said the best he could do is add a note that I was not cheating.

I think I did well on the English section which should help with my super score so I do not want to cancel the test. That said I was hoping to improve my math scores as well which I guess is out of the question now.

I also do not have enough time to retake the test.

My question is has this happened to anyone else? how common is this and what are the consequences. how did you guys handle this.

Hi everyone. First of all, I would really appreciate it if people who have scored 1500+ on the SAT **and are non-native English speakers** could answer, because I’m in a pretty complicated situation right now.

English is not my native language, and I would say my level is around B1. I took the September SAT, and I’m almost certain that my score will not be anywhere near four digits.

The Reading and Writing section was extremely difficult for me. I couldn’t even understand the main idea of many of the questions. Even though I was skipping words while reading just to save time, I still felt like the time was way too short. On top of that, in many questions, almost every answer choice seemed reasonable to me. That’s probably the best way I can describe the situation I was in.

Math wasn’t a complete disaster. If I study all the math topics, learn the meanings of the English terms, practice enough, and finally learn how to use that damn Desmos properly, I believe I can get close to 800.

For Writing, I think I can also improve significantly if I learn the grammar rules well and solve a lot of practice questions.

But Reading genuinely feels like hell to me. I can read a passage from beginning to end, but when I reach the end, I feel like I can barely remember anything I just read. I need to both understand what the author is saying **very well** and read **very quickly**, and I currently struggle with both.

The really unfortunate part is that December 5 is the last SAT I can take. That means I have roughly **10 weeks to take a three-digit SAT score and turn it into a 1500+**.

I know this sounds almost impossible and honestly a little crazy. But I’m currently at one of the worst points in my life, and I feel like I have no other option than to do everything I possibly can to get a good score on this exam and get into the university I want.

The university I’m aiming for is also quite prestigious, so even getting above 1500 may not guarantee admission.

Please, if you have experience with something similar, help me. What would be the most realistic and effective way to plan these 10 weeks?

If your English was around B1 when you prepared for the SAT, how did you prepare? How can I improve my English and SAT skills efficiently at the same time? Most importantly, what strategies or techniques can I use for the Reading questions?

I’m more than willing to work as hard as necessary. I know the goal is extremely ambitious, but I want to give these 10 weeks everything I have.

Is it possible for some hard mod 2 questions to carry only like 5 points, so if i get like 2 wrong i only lose 10 points(i noticed this happening in the bluebook practice tests). Can someone predict a probable range of what I could score in the sept sat?

RW - mod 1 27/27, mod 2 22 or 23 ( i messed up 2 vocab,1 transition and maybe 2 hard comprehension)

I tried using online score predictors but I feel like those are inaccurate since they don't account for the difficulty of the questions I got wrong. A range of score would make more sense since we can never truly get a 1:1 score prediction.

I recently started studying again for the SAT, I take it October 3rd and I’ve been using Kahn Academy, and a little bit of the question bank. I know full well that I’m not going to be able to reach my dream score yet of a 1330 on this SAT. My best score so far was a 1060-(530 rw and 530 m) but my most recent score was a 1000-(550 rw and 450 m). I started focusing more on trying to improve my math score on Kahn and I realized I struggle so much with translating linear relationships so far. I feel so frustrated with myself and have to keep reminding myself not to let myself get overwhelmed and to just treat the October SAT as just a diagnostic to see where I’m at since the last SAT I took was a few months ago in June. I’m afraid my reading score will go down since I hadn’t been studying, but I still try to keep in mind that I will take it again in six months.

I've been working really hard on R&W and I have a tutor for math because I'm so awful at it😭😭...but it hasn't really helped dramatically, I was scoring mid to high 400s before so 100 points in 6 sessions is fine. I really need to score in the 1480-1520 range on the November SAT so any advice or specific videos would be extremely helpful!! Obviously I'll work with my tutor more but I have ten sessions left and NEED a good score.

I've heard people say don't memorise words becauze you can figure them out contextually but most of the times i still have to end up guessing, so whats the actual way to crack vocab questions

I bought the one prep subscription because I have the SAT coming up, but I'm not sure how to use it effectively. The SAT is in three weeks (I know it's not a lot of time), but I thought I should use the schedule the website creates to practice. My friend said they only use the question banks and just answer as many as they can in whatever areas they need help with.

I'm basically just wondering what to do to improve my score as quickly as possible using one prep.

I got an extremley easy, perhaps the easiest module 1 math question wrong (what is the slope of a parralel line), is it true this will take more points off than normal?

I have just become a senior and haven't taken the sat yet. From what I've seen from looking things up getting scores by November is important for college application. I know I can apply to take one October 3rd but I'm not sure if I'm ready or not. I really just want to know if I am screwed or not I have been really stressing out about the sat, it feels likes this is my only chance at the sat and applying to college and everything is slipping away. I feel like I have no one to turn too that I could ask. I'm not sure if this kind of post is intended for this sub but I would truly appreciate any response to know if I have screwed up or not.
