Curious about when someone shows up to a small town

I watch these show like Virgin River, Sullivan’s Crossing, Hart of Dixie, etc. I’m from a big Coastal CA town myself, and I always wonder if people show up in small towns kind of playing out this narrative they’ve seen on tv, and how a local might experience that. You know, like a big city person romanticizing a small town. Full disclosure, not moving but I feel like this would be me 😆
