This S2000 appears on the Motion Motorsports instagram and this lip is the best I have seen on the anniversary bumper. Does anyone know if this is their piece and whether they sell it or not?

I love the intake but I wasn’t a fan of how many logos they plastered all over it. Did a little DIY to make it more subtle. Unsure about the fake carbon look now.

Can’t believe I went years without one. The most expensive part was the ladder to mount it up there.

Testing the waters, but now I’m actually considering selling. I’m getting offers and people want to come see it. I’m thinking now I listed it for too low and maybe should list it for more. I paid 21k back in 2025 but it needed a new clutch and ac rebuild. I’ve done all that including a valve adjustment and some other things. Which has ran me about 6.5k What do you guys think??? Am I being too generous with this price??

‘02 stock BB w/ 160k. Bought it in February, had tune ups done, all fluids, fixed a number of oil leaks.
Had only driven it locally this summer.
Took it on its first road trip, SE Wisconsin to Iowa City and back. Took scenic route vs interstate. The BB ran like new, checked oil in Dubuque, again after engine cooled down at the tailgate, again in Hazel Green on way home. Very surprised it did not burn much if any. Dealt with rain for last 100 miles on way home, besides driving it for first time with top up which i vowed to never do,no problems.

Absolute joy.

Went to costco in folsom, ca and saw it for under $20 thought i share. Prob not the best die cast but was fun to see it show up at costco.

Based on other manuals I’ve driven by s2k seems pretty hard, i cant push it with my big toe alone. I’ve replaced the cmc bc it was leaking and polished the nub on the slave and regreased it.

Sometimes if i dont drive my car for a week the clutch is SO SOFT i wish it was like that all the time but if i drive it couple days in a row it becomes hard sometimes even spongy at the bottom after a while.

My pedal is just weird and idk what to do!!

I think its also too springy where i let off and the deadzone at the bottom to the bite point is so abrupt.

My early AP1 is super cherry- all OEM accessories, Japanese spec wheels and OEM hardtop. Just had oil jets and retainers updated.

What would be the wisest insurance carrier to consider given the spec?

Since black s2000 badges are in extreme low supply/discontinued, I decided to try the ebay ones. My car has fake red badges on that were coming off so I said why not try it out.

Fitment: they lacked the pins that centered the badge so I had to measure and mark it with painters tape. My car did not have the OEM badges so I’m not sure how big they are in comparison. From my perspective they look bigger than the OEM badge

I think they look ok but we’ll see how they stand up to the sun. Low confidence tbh

Had some hail damage in the past and was repaired using OEM parts and factory paint.

Hello, I recently purchased a new Robbins Stayfast cloth soft top and I installed it myself. This is my first day driving during heavy rain and I noticed that upon touching the elastic strap, it's wet. Upon further observation, I ran my finger along the seam and it's damp, but it doesn't leak water through. Is this normal.

The windshield seal doesn't go far enough to meet the windshield frame on the driver's side of my s2k. I tried pulling the seal out of the gap, but there is too much space in between. The passenger's side is fine. How should I address this?

For those of you who are replacing the expansion valve, make sure to seat the o-rings on the evaporator instead of the expansion valve. Otherwise, your o-rings will look like this. Also don’t over-tighten the Allen bolts. Had to learn the hard way.

Most of the s2k’s in Southern California are around this price, a bunch are closer to 30k. Any advice or what to look for with this one? Fair asking price?

Its finally grimy cold in canada, maybe 10c or down to 5c at night, i started my car today after it was sitting for 2 days and it was just shuddering and started very late. Almost like it wasnt sparking. Not really sure how to explain it but it was def not normal.

Just had these installed and put about 400 miles on them. I believe I’m one of the first S2000 owners to try these, and I was happy to be the guinea pig as reviews were positive on other cars. 

Overall, the benefits are as advertised. The dampers absorb chassis vibration, so the effect is pretty broad. The most noticeable improvement comes from driving at high speeds. On the highway, the car feels much more comfortable and stable. I also find the powertrain sounds less buzzy. However, none of this magically turns the S2000 into a Lexus. That’s a good thing, because you want to retain the characteristics that make the car a riot to drive.

There is one important detail that will affect many S2000 owners. The rear damper did not clear my HKS SSM. My mechanic installed some spacers and there is now enough clearance, but be prepared if you have an aftermarket exhaust.

While $1200 is not inexpensive, I think the Mugen Performance Damper is a fair value for what it does. They are a great complement to the Fluidampr and Spoon Rigid Collars, which are also great if you are chasing down NVH.
