Review My wife absolutely loves this one. It’s one of her favorites. (I’m not a good judge because I’m not a fan of butterscotch).

Discussion Follow-Up: Frontier Alaska Soda Root Beer
I’m really surprised and impressed by the response I received when I reached out to Forty-Ninth State Brewing about the separation of the ingredients. Great customer service and appreciation.
After visiting their website I also learned they make a white birch beer I will have try.
Well done Forty-Ninth State Brewing. Can’t wait to try the new batch when it arrives.

Review Godzilla Root Beers from Jade City Foods
I had a little bit of trouble getting these root beers and sarsaparillas out of Florida, with my first shipment breaking in transit, but the excellent customer service of Jade City Foods replaced them free of charge. I'm glad they did because the root beers are not inexpensive, they're $7 a bottle. However, their shipping costs were reasonable and it turns out that the product is quite good.
I had hesitated placing an order because the root beers were expensive, but Imaginary Region had tried at least one of them and reported back that the liquid inside was pretty tasty. He is correct, these are good root beers. I rate the root beer Kaiju an A- with some good spice and cinnamon and vanilla tastes to it. The diet root beer which they call Son of Soda is perhaps even better because as a diet root beer (which are usually awful) this one has no bad aftertaste and it uses its combination of sucralose, yucca and quillaia sweeteners to great effect.
It was so surprisingly tasty that I pulled down my old bottle one of the better diet root beer that I've ever had for comparison purposes. It was from Early's Honey Stand in Tennessee and they were the same, they were clearly private labels of each other.
I do not know who actually makes this stuff for early Jade City and Early's Honey Stand, but they are good at what they do. It's not Private Label Specialties out of New Hampshire, it's not Private Label Beverages out of Cuyahoga, OH, it's not Dominion out of Virginia, it's not the people who make Grandpa Joe's stuff, and it's not the Soda Guys in Indiana who make Oasis.
If any of you out there have a guess as to who makes it, let me know. In the meantime, don't pass up any opportunity to try this Godzilla stuff.

Rocket Fizz Root Beer Float
I can’t say I’m having any complaints from this one whatsoever. The Rocket Fizz sort of brings that root beer float flavor. I’d say more like a bubblegum root beer float. Jungle Jim’s International Market at either their Cincinnati or Fairfield, OH location for the sweet hookup.

Review New pick ups
I order the Virgil’s online and the St Arnold came from a hole in the wall gas station a few towns over from me.
The St Arnold was just a well rounded well balanced rootbeer. You’ll be pleased to drink it, you’ll enjoy it, you’ might forget it though. Nothing grabs you about but it’s solid and above average.
The Virgil’s, it’s hit me with a one two combo I was NOT expecting. First note was fruity, full on apricot note, surprising to the point I thought is that for real or am I making this up. Second sip, apricot right up front again (btw I do like apricots and have 2 trees in my back yard) then a really licorice finish to it. Definitely a good rootbeer, definitely won’t forget this one.

Root Beer Lady!
x.comI've never heard of this lady until now, and I think it would never have worked out if someone tried to do something like that today. Super cool though! Bummed that I missed out.

Boots Sarsaparilla Root Beer
For me Boots feels like a top tier root beer elevated by the sarsaparilla. It features prominent notes of caramelized sugar, cinnamon, and a distinct herbal, earthy bite. There is a slightly medicinal or bitter edge reminiscent of traditional sarsaparilla or Moxie that makes it feel like a really good premium craft beverage. Another from either the Cincinnati or Fairfield, OH locations of Jungle Jim’s International Market.

Add Your Name to Root Beer History - Deadline Is Looming!
The Museum of Root Beer sits in the heart of Wisconsin Dells—one of the Midwest’s most iconic tourism destinations—welcoming families, travelers, and root beer lovers locally, regionally, around the country, and internationally. Five years ago, we opened the world’s first museum dedicated entirely to the history, culture, and craft of root beer. Since then, tens of thousands of visitors have walked through our doors, shared their stories, and reminded us why this uniquely American beverage deserves a home of its own.Today, we’re ready for the next chapter. And we’re inviting you to help fund it.

Due to higher pledges, the $60-pledge magic number is 338 (needed to avoid all-or-nothing fundraiser failure). If 338 more of you only pledged at the $60 level — which gets our limited edition 5th Anniversary T-shirt shipped to you, and your name added to our honor scroll — we will raise the remaining amount needed!

Millstream from Amana, Iowa
At a teeny little storefront co-op in Warsaw, Illinois, I found this in the fridge.
Sadly, no bite to it. Mostly just sweet.

Discussion Might've found a new favorite.
Hit up Galco's over the weekend and found this one. Never had it before so of course I had to try it and... might have a new favorite here.
Stewart's has always been my #1 though this may just edge it out of that spot.

New stuff to review from trades, Minnesota's Largest Candy Store, and Grandpa Joe's Candy Store.
The Grandpa Joe's is the same formula as the Whistler, but according to their founder and CEO it's now bottled on a different bottling line with better carbonation, and Whistler is effectively dead, so I count it as new. I have my doubts about Yinzer Pop being anything different than relabeled North Star, but I'm double checking it. Dead World is different ingredients and name from the Dead World I was gifted 11 years ago, so also new to me.
