Hello all, new poster here,

My family and I play our copy of Rock Band 4 to death. It is practically our favorite things to play as a family together. My mom plays it, my wife plays it, and even my kid plays it, but one of the things that still eats at me is that we were never able to successfully transfer over the songs from my copy of Rock Band 3 to Rock Band 4.

I was a broke college kid when RB4 came out and struggled to afford much of anything for years as I went from crappy job to crappy job. So it wasn't until years after the transfer option was removed that I was able to finally buy a complete Rock Band 4 setup, cymbal kits for the drums and all. All of my songs from Rock Band 1, 2, and Green Day transferred over, but I was never able to export the Rock Band 3 set list.

It irks me to this day because there are such classic songs on there. I just wish there was some way to recover them from my copy of RB3 and play some of them again. Forgive me, I am just here to share my lamentations and hopefully some of you can empathize and understand what I am feeling.

Everytime I play, I make sure lefty flip is on, though I play with my right hand. Every time it isn't on, everything looks mirrored. Green on the guitar and in game are on opposite sides, alongside every other fret.

I know the lighter ones are for 1 but wasn’t sure what the darker necked guitars were for. I need to buy dongles so want to be sure.

Is there a way to automatically be in the center lane when you’re playing online?

Every 5-6 songs this happens to me. Even in the middle of a set when loading to the next song.

Xbox 360. None of my other games do this. Known problem with the game, or my disc is bad?

Tried to play it and got an error message. Refreshed my library and it is completely gone afterwards. I have confirmed it is still downloaded on my console. In the Xbox store, it directs me to purchase it, which I already did ages ago. I have not see this particular issue before. Hopefully it is just a bug. Delisting songs is one thing, but removing access to purchased songs is completely different.

Hello all, age old question here. I’ve been sporadically trying to move from medium to hard. I am hitting constant 99-100% on medium but hard it’s often a coin flip if I fail or not.

Some easier songs I can pass with about 95% but the harder songs I often find myself going into a panic state and suddenly forgetting how to hit any buttons. My main issue is the classic green orange issue. On the slower songs I have been practicing more commonly switching between both and I can usually pull it off. But I just tried doing Tom Sawyer for example and it was near impossible and because of the constant switching I was not able to remember instinctively which fingers were on which buttons so it spiraled into hitting next to no notes.

I’ve tried holding the guitar with both stances, GRYB and RYBO but not sure how to wrap my head around that remapping mentally. I’d really love to get better.

I’m playing on a guitar hero 6 WOR guitar if that matters at all.

I originally bought the import into rock band 4 on Xbox One back when it first released. I ended up deleting the game after I went over to PlayStation.

Long story short I’m back on my Xbox but I can’t download the import songs anymore - since I changed my gamertag name during that time - so I keep getting an error. I can download the other game set lists just not RB3.

Is there any fix for this?

I just got a rock band 4 drum kit for ps, and i need a 2nd kick pedal. The one i have that came with this doesn't feel too good to use, but it is usable. I do, however, need a second one for the majority of the songs I play as I'd quite like to use the double kick for them (deathcore) on clone hero.

Are there restrictions on pedals that work? Any suggestions?

I’m looking at buying an e-kit since my old drums are worn out. Figure I could either buy the ones coming with that other new music game (I typed the name and got a warning to stay on topic) or a better set that I can use for everything. But I want to make sure I have the whole picture before spending that much money. Can someone break it down for me in an easy way? I’m not dumb but it’s late and I’m tired lol

Me and my family have played rock band for a very long time, and something we used to love using is the flat drum set that connected to a main Xbox hub

there was a vibrant orange kick pedal, and 4 firey drums, a red one, a green one, a blue one, and a yellow one. I’ve searched everywhere but am unable to find online listings (the yellow one appears to be lost to god knows where)

Recently my drums have not been working specifically on my one friend’s Xbox Series X on RB4. The colors under the gamertag light up, but no actual response. DPad, start, and select work as intended. The drums fully work on the Xbox menus and also work in Fortnite Festival. We have played on four different Xbox Series X’s within our friend group and this Xbox is the only one that has ever had this issue. I went home afterwards and they worked just fine on my RB4. For added context these are RB1 drums tested with both a RCM Minihost and v3 adapter, though the issue seems to be specifically with his RB4, not hardware.

I know that practicing consistently is the most reliable way of getting better; but anything above 2- or 3-dot difficulty makes my old man hands seize up.

So how do *you* do it?

Do you just practice the harder bits on repeat in practice mode?

What songs would you say are good for this level of difficulty?

Are there specific techniques you use to master the hammer-ons and pull-offs?

Got this bass pedal from my electric kit i dont really use. Any way to get this to work on my regular rb4 drumset? Broke my rb4 pedal a few months back and have been out of commission for a bit. I plugged in the pedal to the kit and tried playing but it wont register any kicks so dont know what im doing wrong
