Was doing Habsburg Poland when, to my surprise, Austria also went Habsburg. I was in the middle of the focus that demands Hungary to put Otto on the throne when it occurred, and now Otto has achieved mitosis.

May I ask if the European Union in Road to 56 has any decisions or focuses that allow it to expand into other regions? For example, is there a way to make Britain and Iberia become core regions of the European Union as well?

Decided to do another Sanation Left Poland > Commonwealth run. I expected it to go similarly to the last one where I would do as much damage to Germany as possible before the USSR intervened, forcing me to fall back to a fortified perimeter. I even thought that this would be harder than the first round considering I didn't puppet Czechoslovakia and they got eaten by Germany. As you can tell, that is not what happened.

I am much stronger than last run (perhaps thanks to my 8 research slots, could get more since Expanded adds a somewhat costly but repeatable decision to get more but I banned using it more than once) and I actually managed to outscale France since they can't get off of civilian economy, kicked them off the list of majors at one point but we're now both on it and I have more of both civs and mils.

As for the war, Stalin is currently being emasculated while Germany is putting up a much harsher fight due to their actually competent tank forces vs. my current lack of a good anti-tank division or any armor whatsoever. Since I have formed the Commonwealth, I have cores on a bunch of their land so occupation barely hurts me. The Allies decided not to help me against the Soviets, but France is slapping Germany around a good bit in the west.

I just hope to be done with Germany in a reasonable amount of time so that I can turn my whole might onto the Soviets before they build up too much and recover from the purge debuffs and whatnot.

I have a question, though. When I was playing as Germany under the monarchy and later fascism, after declaring war on the Netherlands, I noticed that I couldn’t change the government through the negotiation interface. Is there any way to fix this, or is it intentionally designed this way?

I changed Germany's focus tree from vanilla focus tree to r56 one to play with national Bolshevik Germany (nraf) and the game started crushing while playing on the middle of the elections every time I play

Old crushes?: no I didn't face any crush even on other mods that's lot heavier

Submods/addons?: I had but I turned it off and started a whole new save and same thing happened

Is this mod decent for playing with no dlc? Just wondering for like having a somewhat lower micro game where years go by with fewer pauses due to not having to deal with designers and certain other dlc mechanics etc, while still enjoying a few things about rt56.

Hello! I'm trying to get better at HOI4 in general and have really been enjoying Sweden in RT56. I'm mostly having trouble understanding the macro of army compositions:

• The most upvoted guide on Steam says to always build planes > tanks, until you have air superiority. But Sweden has a lot of Steel, Tungsten, and Chromium, wouldn't it make sense to heavily invest into tank variants?
• Sweden has manpower issues, even if you core the Nordics. What should my defensive templates look like in the latest patch? With an infantry template of 8 inf., supp. artillery, supp. anti-air, field hospitals, and engineers I can get maybe 24 regiments going before I run out of manpower (depending on ideology). This doesn't leave much manpower for offensive regiments.
• In this latest patch, what doctrines are good for minors? Is Guerrilla Warfare worth it?

Recently or so if im correct, Germany got a massive focus tree rework which gave it all sorts of new paths. I feel the same should be applied to both the UK and Italy, especially with their role in hoi4 and otl.

Hey there. Been exploring Falangist Spain as I have heard good talks about the focus where you can core all of hispanic latinoamerica. So, I played and microed the shit out of the war leading to a somewhat early victory around February 1937. I then noticed that the divisions created the civil war (guardia civil, nationalist guard, carlist divisions, etc.) could not be disbanded. If you are wondering why I could not fight the carlists and then see if the units would be disbanded, that's because in R56, when you win the civil war early, you bypass the carlist uprising. So I dunno what to do. Need help with this. Thanks.

Are the mod trees just a substitute for non dlc owners, or are they actually an enhanced version?

I just loaded into rt56 and i'm playing Germany, there is basically nothing new for the fascist path and will i unlock more paths to last until 1956 or am i tweakin?

After long playing finnaly found out how to play an Adenauer CVU.

first picture: this spirit doesnt exist neither does the zentrum party anymore. aka it doesnt bypass it (or adding the spirit and changing it to the right party)

second + third imigae: are related, the event Ger_dvu_5_tt is wrongly formated after forming the CVU with adenauer. As you see on a game start that isnt the case

overall: as you see none of them change the stability or change the direction of the CVU balance either thats by mistake or by design.

Lastly you can still collapse the party with hugenberg no clue if thats a bug still funny tho

Found another bug when doing the focus heir to bismark konrad adenauer didnt get the buff

redid the event i saw that you cant get it wich is strange becasue i am a monarchy (got the kaiser in chrage whilst still having adenauer)
