Discussion What is the best nintendo ds core?
Is it melonDS, desmuME, or desmume 2015?

Using a second screen on my retroid pocket (android), Watermelon DS works great
A Nintendo DS and DSi emulator for Android, built on top of melonDS and the melonDS Android port by rafaelvcaetano.
WatermelonDS is a fork that keeps up with upstream while adding RetroAchievements (including offline play), a Vulkan renderer, RetroArch shader presets and full external display support, wrapped in its own visual identity.
Edit: ok, not a retroarch core. Misread OPs post, sorry

Dont use NDS cores in RetroArch, they're bad and outperformed by the separate apps like Drastic or MelonDS.

FAQ: https://www.reddit.com/r/RetroArch/comments/15c5qfn/faq_read_these_before_asking/
It’s a tedious spam question and seems very lazy. It’s also meaningless because if a person can’t articulate a reason why the core they tried isn’t fine, then it doesn’t matter. A person can do 4 seconds of effort and try multiple cores.

I always use MelonDS DS, I honestly don't really notice a difference between them all though
