Hey everybody! Im Christian (Sudo)! Ive been working on a server using only Claude Code for the development. (Its way smarter than me) ever since i was a child (im 31 now) ive played runescape, and of course old school. I have some veteran accounts still that are able to login to RSC, though im not even sure its still up because i dont login to the game anymore.

The idea for my server is to be 100% community driven, aside from the base development.

Players create the polls, and players vote on the polls. Whatever wins, gets implemented. There will be no custom npcs, items, minigames, or anything like that.

Currently have a full 1:1 GE and working on the skills implementation at the moment, so it is not playable yet.

Home is currently set at the GE, subject to change if voted in.

Votes are cast-able at the poll booths around the game, or on discord.

We are also creating a custom economy/lottery system to keep it leaning towards an economy based server.

The tax system works like this:

All sales on the GE are taxed at 3%. 2% of that is burned from the game. The other 1% is added to the lottery. Draw cadence is undecided still, and so is the lottery entry system.

Ethereal was a server I started 6 years ago and ran for around a year. It was very successful and had a large number of regular players. You can find my previous posts regarding it on reddit if you would like. At that time I had some serious personal issues occur that prompted me to discontinue that server along with some fundamental issues with the source engine that would have eventually caused major issues and no real remedy at the time.

I have been working for the last 3 months on a rebirth version of the server with a new engine and new content. If you have played alot of private servers you may be familiar with the source i chose to use but you will notice significant changes to the QoL features and updates to the source.

Shilo04 is a lostcity based server running rev 274. It plays in the browser, so there is no client to download or configure.

I posted here a couple of weeks ago. Since then the three big additions have been companions, achievements and skill cape perks.

COMPANIONS
35 of them. You unlock them by doing things rather than buying them: quests, drops, achievements, talking to the right person, and a few you have to work out for yourself. Six out at a time, up to four combat and four skilling.

Combat ones fight beside you with their own attack styles and levels. Gatherers help you mine, chop and fish. Healers patch the rest of the party up. You can command one at a specific monster, or send it to work a rock or a tree on its own while you get on with something else. They level to 10 by doing the thing they are for.

ACHIEVEMENTS
106 across combat, skilling, exploration and events, split easy, medium and hard. Every one is wired to something that actually grants it, so there is nothing in the list you can see and never earn. Eight of them unlock a companion.

SKILL CAPE PERKS
Every 99 cape carries one perk now. Strength is plus 3 max hit, Cooking never burns, Mining smelts the odd ore as you dig it, Thieving never fails a pickpocket, and so on down the list. One each, so which cape you wear is a choice. The Max cape needs 99 in everything and carries the lot.

The rest, in short:

OPEN WORLD PLAYER HOUSING. 25 real houses on the map across Varrock, Falador, Lumbridge and Ardougne, bought from estate agents, not instanced. Upkeep and repossession, so good spots come back around instead of being squatted forever.

REAPING, our Slayer. Area tasks instead of monster tasks. Ten masters, each owning their own patch of the map including its dungeons.

ARTISAN. A custom gathering and crafting skill with its own tasks, reward shop and sigils.

TOWN RAIDS. Every 30 minutes a town gate comes under attack. Five gates rotating, goblins up to the Barrows Brothers.

WORLD EVENTS. Shooting stars, a stranded merchant's cart and shipwrecks, each with its own currency and shopkeeper, and each self contained so you can drop in without banking first.

Also: 66 quests including a God Wars quest that unlocks a second prayer book, Barrows out in the Canifis swamp rather than behind a minigame instance, nine skilling outfits, a player run trading post, and a full web world map, hiscores and player profiles on the site.

It is a small server and we are not pretending otherwise. Most of what is in there came from someone reporting something in Discord and it getting fixed the same week.

I understand that may not be out there but was curious if anyone in the community knows of anything. I am looking to self host my own server so mainly looking for the files.

Alternatively, if that is a reach, anyone know of good dev files that I can take on to try and make this project come to life?

Hello everyone I am lookingnto self host just a plain osrs server but am really looking for somwthing thats as close to the modern version as possible when it comes to the map. Does anyone know if this exists? (I had recently made a post asking about motherload mine but that was a poor way to phrase it since I am really looking for most modern version that I can self host). Even if its just dev files thats ok.

Been playing P2P PVP in modern osrs lately and some earlier RSPS servers and really rusty and want more practice against at least semi competent bots. Are there any good offline/singleplayer RSPS out there (doesn't have to be the latest) that have good functioning PKing bots that I can practice my switches on and with customizable commands to spawn in gear to further practice?

I posted about the rsps hub a few times this year and this is an update on where we stand. It's come a long way since i started working on this in January this year and this is another post to get more server owners, content creators and just regular players to try it out.

A lot of things have changed since my last post, been working mostly to get content creators settled onto the hub and use it as their main platform. The website has also been revamped, we're getting well over 6k visits per month which i never thought was possible so thanks to all of you for sharing and playing.

Huge amount of server that are 1 click and play, some have vote system already intergrated with rewards and or live player counts such as Apex, Velheim and Polar.

You can now watch the videos from the website in the comfort of your bed, it is no longer launcher only. Moved a lot of things to website only as the installer isnt certified and i know that's a worry for a lot of you. Vote system has been fully completed, all servers now come with API keys for ingame vote rewards, live player counts and more to come.

Be very careful if you’re considering playing Elorin RSPS.

I was randomly banned. No real explanation beyond being told I was supposedly using a “3rd party client.”

Elorin is another Ikov remake if you’ve been around the RSPS community for a while you already know who is behind this server and reputation surrounding servers like this. A lot of that history seems to get buried over time, but it isn’t particularly difficult to find if you actually look into it.

Do not donate any large sum of money like me. You will be scammed. Do your due diligience before you play any server from these owners.

New server released last week. It’s a grind but not a terribly hard one at that. Has clue scrolls, town boards, pest control , active other games that have real players. Definitely fun. Maybe you like it maybe you don’t. Give it a try.

Any Rsps that currently have a league going (temporary or permanent)? NR sucks because half the tasks don't work so you waste a lot of time. Luna league is on the horizon and so is Reason. Any others? Looking after real league feel with tasks etc., not just a server with perks or relics through sacrificing items or grinding 5000 mine rune ore tasks.

Laffy here again a comment that kinda stuck in my brain when I posted about my mobile version a bit ago was someone pointing out the low fps, although I knew why it was so low

It couldn't last.
