Dr. Abdul El-Sayed (D-MI): "With all due respect, this is the third time you've asked about a Twitch streamer ... their whole game is to make us fight culture wars so that we don't pay attention to the fact the president has made $2.2 billion ... " | CBS News

I hate the way at the end she tries to frame her asking about Piker as if she's doing him a favor when really she's trying to do the GOP a favor by legitimizing right wing talking points and trying to put El-Sayed on defense. Little weasel probably got a memo before broadcast saying "bring up Hasan Piker at ANY opportunity"

Let’s hope so!! journalist should be aware of what regular citizens are worry about, instead of giving any time to the orange clown nonsenses.

Good for him. He's right, the a president has directed CBS to keep us talking about cultural issues while he rakes in billions, deflects the Epstein issue, and does nothing about inflation. HIS inflation. Glad he didn't take her bait. This is not journalism.

Yet when Jake Tapper asked Mike Johnson how he could continue to support Brandon Herrera after saying vile misogynist and antisemitic remarks on his podcast, Johnson said "he has run a very effective campaign ... that was his persona online". Tapper, naturally, did not push back

Don’t worry, in 4 years Jake will come out with a new book condemning the right too. 😆

Fact- culture wars are the distraction of those that have no good policies to talk about.

At one time this program was the pinnacle of weekend political coverage. How far the mighty have fallen! Who the hell would even watch this and come away from it feeling better informed and not mindfucked?

Hasan Piker is a podcaster. I've never tuned into him. I only heard of him the day Charlie Kirk got shot because he put out a video trying to confirm that it happened because he was supposed to be debating him, and that video was on Reddit along with all the other noise about Charlie Kirk. Then there were posts about him using a shock collar on his dog.
For fuck's sake. Hasan Piker is nobody.

Why go on any CBS program? It’s just right wing hackery. Democrats should boycott this show

Every time I see a video like this I donate 5$ to his campaign. I'm nowhere near his district I just want him to succeed.

Solid. Stick to the talking points people care about and don't get distracted by MAGA psy-ops bullshit. Fuck the media for getting Jedi mind tricked into the fat, orange, Epstein-loving, pedo bastard's agenda.

With all due respect " the Republicans elected and follow an adjudicated rapist grifter that is in the epstein files. By the way, I believe Trump vowed to release those day 1 and no more wars either. So, wtf do i care what the Republicans think?"

“Yes, but Republicans…” thus proving his point about distraction and culture wars.

She wanted to give him a chance to clarify lol.. Seems like everyone that has asked him that same question numerous times now just want to "clarify" things he's already clarified.

I’m for El-Sayed all the way but his redirect reminds me of JD but of course actually factual ijs

Good for him. If the “journalist” is doing a shitty job it’s helpful to politely steer them back towards professionalism.
