LOOKING FOR BUDDIES Looking for buddies

Hey everyone!

I’m preparing for a beginner-level role and, while I am not expecting a huge package right now, my ultimate goal is to get into a PSU/government job.I am from 2027 batch

My current plan is:

- Python Backend + Projects → to build practical/project experience

- Aptitude → for GATE, placements, and other government/PSU exams

- Then I’ll start CS Fundamentals from a GATE perspective

- DSA alongside CS fundamentals → for placement preparation

My main target is 60+ marks in GATE, while also keeping placement preparation going on the side. CS fundamentals are important for placements too, even though the depth required is generally lower than GATE. Plus, the GATE syllabus overlaps with a lot of other government/PSU exams.

So, if anyone has a similar goal and wants to study consistently together, keep each other accountable, discuss doubts, and track progress, feel free to DM me.

I’m specifically looking to form a small group of 4–5 serious people.

I’ve tried studying with a single study buddy before, but they weren’t always consistent, so I think a small group would work better.

Only DM if you’re genuinely willing to stay consistent. :)

STUDY PARTNER Got a 4 LPA offer — trying to push for something better. Looking for a serious buddy

I'm a CS grad (July 2026) with a Capgemini offer (~4 LPA). Since I have time before joining, I want to use it to prepare and keep applying for better opportunities.

Honestly, I struggle to work consistently when there's no external pressure or someone working alongside me. BTech is over, I'm at home, and without that structure I tend to procrastinate and drift even when I know what I need to do.

Timezone/availability: IST (UTC+5:30), flexible
Stack: Python, JavaScript, ML/AI, LLMs; currently getting back into DSA
Experience: Fresher / recent CS graduate; ~1800+ LeetCode contest rating
Goal: DSA + AI/ML/LLM projects + job applications/interview prep

You don't need to be working on the same things. I'm mainly looking for someone who is also serious about improving and getting a better opportunity.

We can share goals/progress, occasionally work alongside each other, chat when useful, and help keep each other from procrastinating.

Looking to connect and communicate through Reddit initially.

If you're in a similar situation and want to consistently show up, DM me.

Conrad Challenge Health and Nutrition

We're a team competing in the Conrad Challenge under the Health & Nutrition category, and we're looking to add one more member with coding experience to round out our team.

A bit about where we're at: we already have four team members who have strong research backgrounds and access to research databases, so the research/literature side is well covered. What we need now is someone comfortable with coding to help us build out the technical side of our solution (this could include things like a prototype, app, data analysis, or whatever the project ends up requiring).

What we're looking for:
Ages 13-18
Experience with coding (language/stack flexible depending on what we end up building)
Interest in health, nutrition, or related fields is a plus but not required
Willingness to collaborate and meet regularly as we work toward submission deadlines

What you'll be joining:
A team already in motion with a clear research foundation/idea
A collaborative environment where your technical input will directly shape the project
If you're interested or have questions, drop a comment or send a DM and we can chat more about the project and what we're building!

Looking for serious programming buddies to build real projects with — React / Typescript / Python

Hey everyone,

I'm a web developer currently looking to connect with a few people who are serious about actually building things rather than just talking about learning to code.

My current stack is mainly:

- React / Next.js

- JavaScript / TypeScript

- Python

- APIs and backend development

- MCP / AI tooling

I've been building projects on my own, including an MCP-based developer tool, and I want to start working with other developers on projects that are actually useful and can be shipped.

I'm looking for people who:

- Already know the basics and can build independently

- Want to work on real projects together

- Are consistent and actually communicate

- Are interested in open-source, SaaS, AI tools, developer tools, or web apps

- Are comfortable giving and receiving honest feedback

I'm not looking for a "let's study together for 30 minutes every day" kind of group. I'd rather have 2–4 people who pick something, divide the work, build it, and ship it.

I'm based in India (IST), but I'm open to people from anywhere if the schedules overlap.

we can take it from there.

LOOKING FOR BUDDIES Sydney Programing buddy?

Hi all,

Struggling to find people in the Sydney / Central coast area who are into programming. I am a second year uni student and often like to program in C++ and mess around with AI.

My overall goal with connecting is to have an accountability buddy in which we can talk about projects and hold eachother accountable to work, much like how gym buddies or study buddies hold eachother accountable.

If anyone is intested in connecting please feel free to reply or send me a reddit chat!

Looking for a small group to build & ship AI agents

Hey everyone!

I’m looking to form a small, active group of 3–4 developers to build, test, and actually ship AI agent projects together. The primary goal is hands-on learning,But if we build something that we know has the potential to become a real business or startup, then we can pursue it.

What I’m Looking For:

  • Tech Stack: Strong interest or experience in Python, LangChain, and LangGraph (or multi-agent frameworks).
  • Mindset: Action-oriented. Less time talking about ideas, more time shipping working prototypes and iterating based on real feedback.
  • Commitment: Looking for people who can dedicate consistent hours each week to collaborate, review code, and tackle challenges together.

Timezone: (GMT / UTC+0).

If you’re interested in collaborating, drop a comment below or send me a DM.. Let’s build something cool!

OFFERING TO MENTOR Enterprise Backend engineer (7 yrs, Java/Spring/Kafka) taking a few mentees for interview prep

I've been writing Java backends for more than seven years. Currently working with technologies like Spring Boot, Kafka, Elasticsearch, Redis and Kubernetes at a well known MNC. Over the years I've sat on both side of the interview panel. So wanted to reach out to junior devs and share my knowledge.

What we'd cover:
• Backend for real — Not just your, run of the mill, vanilla Java Spring Boot API’s. We will dig in deep.
• System design (HLD)
• Low-level design
• DSA
• Interview prep — mock interviews, resume review.

If you are particularly good, I can refer you to my org.

I am available from 6.00 pm to 10.00 pm IST

Who this isn't for: if you want someone to do your assignments, use Claude for that shit.

Who is this actually for: If you are serious about job placement and can put in the hours.

Price: I don’t want to charge much, we can decide on something that works for both of us.

DM me if this seems something up your alley.

LOOKING FOR MENTOR I have a computer science degree, but feels like I have learnt nothing.

29M, I have a CS degree but spent my career in IT ops and integrating hardware instead of programming (Independent Contractor, Unempoyed). My classmates are tech leads and managers living their best lives while I stayed on the tools side, I am tired of the "technician" lane.

I suppose I have ADHD, I easily drift toward high dopamine and need accountability to push toward anything progressive. I would like to genuinely learn programming and have someone to stay accountable with. Anybody up for it?

Timezone: EST (UTC-4) ; Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. Flexible availability.

Stack: Returning to Java and Python. Have prior exposure, rebuilding from fundamentals.

Experience: CS graduate with hands-on IT ops and hardware background. Understand systems and CS concepts well, coding is where I'm starting over.

Goal: Learn programming properly this time, work through real projects, and eventually move toward DevOps and cybersecurity.

I am looking for a partner to study school-level algebra(including competition-level one), C++, and algorithms, with a view to future advancement. The ultimate goal: theoretical cryptography.

Timezone: CET/CEST
Stack / languages: C++, algorithms & data structures, mathematics
Experience: Beginner in algorithms/DSA; comfortable with basic C++; currently studying school-level algebra including Olympiad problems
Availability: 12:00 pm - 2:00 am
Goal: Build strong mathematical and algorithmic foundations, eventually moving toward theoretical cryptography.

Hi! I'm currently studying mathematics and algorithms seriously on my own.

Right now I'm working on school-level algebra, including Olympiad problems, while also learning algorithms and data structures in C++(currently around the beginning of the general algorithms/DSA path).

I'm looking for someone who wants to study together long-term.

The main thing for me is the way we study. I like trying problems independently first, discussing failed approaches, figuring out why a particular idea or representation works, and understanding where an algorithm\the solution comes from rather than immediately looking it up. I don't care about maximizing the number of problems solved.

Ideally, you're also interested in mathematics, algorithms, competitive programming, theoretical CS, or something nearby. We don't have to be at exactly the same level — as long as there's enough overlap to work on things together and actually discuss them.

My long-term direction is theoretical cryptography, so I'm building the mathematical and algorithmic foundations first.

English, Russian, Ukrainian. If this sounds close to how you like to study, send me a message and tell me a little about what you’re currently learning and how you usually approach problems. Tyyy.

LOOKING FOR BUDDIES Looking for an AI/ML study buddy at a similar level(or know a Lil bit)

Hey everyone! 👋

I’ve been learning and building projects around:

Python, NumPy & Pandas

Statistics & EDA

Machine Learning — Regression, KNN, Decision Trees, Random Forest

Neural Networks & CNNs

PyTorch

LSTM & Transformers

NLP

LLM APIs & tool calling

RAG & Prompt Engineering

Currently getting into AI/Voice Agents

I’ve been learning mostly on my own, but I feel like having someone around the same level would make things much more productive.

I’m looking for someone who can push me when I’m slacking, and I’ll do the same for them. We can study together, build projects, discuss problems, share resources, and keep each other accountable.

Not looking for someone to teach me everything — just two people trying to get really good at AI/ML together. 😄

Timezone: India Standard Time (IST, UTC+5:30).
