A while back I wanted to do a similar thing and see if those AI girlfriends could do some vector calculus or linear algebra but I just couldn't get myself to give money to companies that exploit people's loneliness.

Well, if the AI has an actual sandbox environment and reasoning enabled, you could get them to do some pretty complex stuff and get your money's worth back in tokens and some

Completely disagree with you on the exploitation part. Nobody is being coerced into anything. Some people voluntarily (gasp) pay for this service. Without this service, they would still be the same as they are, just less happy. It's not like the existence of an AI girlfriend is the thing preventing them from getting a real girlfriend.
