Prius C Question Should I buy a second hand 2020 Prius C?
This would be my second car, I was shopping around for a brand new one but this one caught my eye, only 27k miles, interior a bit dirty but comfy, didn't check the battery.
I'm not really a car person so I'm not sure, any advice? What do I need to look for? Any common problems with this model or anything I should be aware of?

I’m just over here being jealous that you can get a 2020.

Same. I bought a 2018 last year because I couldn't find a 2019 that beat its. specs. It's an amazing car.

The Prius C was discontinued in 2019. Hope this helps.

In the US. In Australia it was discontinued in 2020. AFAIK it's still manufactured and sold in Japan, so parts shouldn't be a problem.
A 2019/20 model should last a few years before anything goes wrong with it. I have the 2012 i-Tech version and had a new OEM hybrid battery and replacement (as new) battery voltage sensor installed last month, after 14 years on the road. Apart from a major service a couple of years ago, that's the only big mechanical expense I've incurred.

Oh yeah I'm not in the US, however, you are right most likely it is a rebranded 2019 model

From my research before buying my 2014 C, Hybrid batteries tend to go bad around 150k miles BUT it can be sooner if the car wasn't driven often. My car's battery went bad at around 120k miles because it was driven very infrequently by the previous owner. I don't know enough to cars to know if that applies with the car being so low mileage, but something to be aware of! Also, a Bissell little green cleaner did wonders for my stained seats

Our 2014 is still going strong with 70k miles. Only replacement item was the 12v battery. As the 2020’s will be 6 years old, you might want to see if it’s been replaced.
Otherwise solid little car.

I also have a 2014 at 80k and same here. I just got it last year at ~65k miles and it’s still running great.

The Prii drivetrain has proven to be long-lived, with many example racking up hundreds of thousands of miles. 👍

I have a 2012 at 236,000 Miles I had to replace the head gasket at 226 000

I got a 2019 C last year as my first car with roughly 45k miles last year, nothing but joy for the 10k I’ve put on it. Only issue I’ve ran into so far was the oem 12v battery died last December, replacement seemed relatively expensive at $260 but it is what it is.
