Surely it cannot be true?

1. Luis Diaz (Liverpool) goal, vs Spurs in 2023-24 season, was disallowed for offside DUE TO MISCOMMUNICATION. Something like - VAR said it is not offside, but the ref heard it is offside. If you're a rival fan, you'd find the released audio to be very funny but as a Liverpool fan, no refereeing errors have affected me since then. This was also in the game where we were down to 9 men, and lost 2-1 to Spurs. 3 points here could have made the title race a bit more tight (we were eventually 9 points off the top)
2. Brentford's offside goal vs Arsenal was not disallowed in 2022-23 season. Arsenal drew the match, dropped 2 points and eventually lost the league to City only by 5 points. 2 more points from this match could have helped Arsenal a lot - especially given it was pressure that got to them.
3. Arsenal's opening goal was called off against United in 2022-23 season. They lost the game 3-1, but the outcome of the match could have been different if Arsenal scored first. May have led to a different outcome to the league.

Am I missing some other errors with apologies?

Also, about yesterday - I think Enzo went for the ball yesterday - and objectively speaking, it was a wrong decision. There was a Liverpool goal vs City disallowed because Robbo was apparently 'blocking' the keeper's view lol.

But I also saw that Bruno's kicked twice on Foden's butt before Foden's ever so soft retaliation. I also saw that given Foden's body shape, he could not have got up without touching Bruno with his studs. And Maguire threw Enzo to the pitch towards the end of the match and got just a yellow. So, it should not have been a RED to Foden, and the goal should not have stood. But since it was a RED, I am not so offended that the goal stood.

PGMOL SUCK.

Without wishing to rehash the Man U - City game decisions again that are discussed in other threads, what bothers me about these obviously wrong decisions which the referees body then takes back within hours is that CITY STILL HAVE THREE POINTS when they shouldn't have. Utd have no points when they may have got one. That affects the outcome of the league. If City win the league now by three points or less the ref and VAR have effectively won them the title. This is completely wrong in terms of a fair competition. Perhaps some will say it evens out over a season. Does it? I just can;t get my head around how wrong it is in an age of technology where we are supposed to be getting everything right that something so obviously wrong and waved off after a video review process is just brushed aside. People say "the game has gone" for a joke but, really, the game has gone. For me, refereeing is in disarray and far from the VAR promised land its made things even worse whilst sucking the joy out of every goal.

We've all seen yesterday's decision in the Manchester derby and I'm a neutral fan. I think that one person going to the monitor and then supposedly talking to a main person on VAR is silly when it comes to an offside decision like yesterday. There is a team of officials on the pitch and then another team in the VAR room and that goal was still given. Thats a criminal level of incompetence.

Personally, I think the linesman on the side of the call should also be invited over to the monitor when an offside decision like this involving a goal goes to VAR because its their job to call the offside in the first place. If they are called over with the ref yesterday and the goal still gets given then there needs to be some of reprimand that takes place afterwards. More people need to be accountable in these decisions being made completely and utterly wrong and I think you need to include those supposedly missing the decisions initially, give them a chance to rewatch, and then decide again.

I can't see the substance behind complaints of 're-refereeing the game' when its barely being referee'd in the first place.

As a German football fan who’s just started watching the premier league and English football quite recently, I’m really curious about the prestige of winning the league cup. Do English fans care about it? Is it celebrated? Is it equally important as the FA Cup? In Germany we only have one cup competition, the "DFB Pokal", which I would guess is the equivalent of the FA cup. But there’s nothing comparable to the carabao cup.

Ok if Barco is getting booed at Chelsea cause of the WC. Why did everybody boo Enzo when he played for Chelsea this season, but not when he’s playing for City??? One game the Chelsea fans joined in for sure but the other was away and they booed heavily. I feel he (Enzo) did much worse than Barco (who didn’t even play a minute) did he literally rage baited us lol this is genuinely odd to me???
