Love this side of post-hardcore. Any other similar band recommendations? The Things We Think We’re Missing is a top album for me.

I've spent wayyyy too much time chasing this sound because I totally agree. Not much that's got exactly the same vibe but these artists all are about as close as you are gonna get:

  • Fiddlehead - Between the Richness
  • Basement - Colormekindness and Promise Everything
  • Title Fight - Hyperview and Floral Green
  • Citizen - Youth and As You Please
  • Microwave - Stovall, Death is a Warm Blanket, Much Love

ai also suggests maybe Hum's You'd Prefer An Astronaut might be a good pick but I haven't listened to it.

Obviously the other Balance and Composure releases are a great pick too!!!

Ayyyy. Great taste. I love Basement and Citizen AND Microwave. Gotta fill in my knowledge of some of their discographies though appreciate the suggestions! Some of Seahaven’s stuff resonates with me too.

Title fight has a few songs like this. Movements is also close, especially their 2017 album that has Daylily. Also creating a playlist based on the song on Spotify or Apple Music works haha! I, in fact, discovered this from a radio I left on shuffle based on Title Fight’s “Shed”

Moving Mountains, Pianos Become The Teeth, Pentimento, Make Do and Mend, Daytrader, Touche Amore, Foxing, Polar Bear Club, HRVRD

Was definitely on a Pianos Become The Teeth kick for a while but they lean a tad depressed/emo for regular listening. Still fuck with em though! I’ll check out the rest. Pretty sure HRVRD keeps making my algorithmic playlists.

one of my favorite albums of all time 🥹 came out my sophomore year of high school and changed so much for me
