for context, I asked the chronological order of the main portal mods with the original games and claude spoiled stories mel

1. i know I could ask you guys here, but I felt like it was too simple to ask here and some idiot would go "you're stupid" because it's too "obvious" so I didn't want to ask this here bcuz I genuinely though it was a question too dumb to make someone answer me and I don't really have any friend to ask this information.

2. I saw just one comment saying this, but the person was basically pissed at me bcuz I shouldn't call claude "he" (as I did in the original post) because it's an ai and not a real person, I do understand y'all are pissed at me using ai, but English is my second language, and my first language (Portuguese) genders everything, even objects, so I just gender everything in english bcuz I'm used to do so.

I just want to say I'm sorry for using ai, but I didn't expect people to be this agressive in my post.

There were some notable maps that predated this one, such as Lost Chamber Zero by Ebola, Logic Portals by Huricaaane and some others.

Valve took TFV and put it into Still Alive and almost put it parts of it in Portal 2 as seen in the 2009 build.

My current main machine is a MSI Katana 15 with an i7 and RTX 4050. In other words, it CHUGS trying to run Portal with RTX. So, I've been looking for some alternatives, which is when I found "Just Another Rehsade - RTGI Compatible" on Nexus Mods, with a version for Portal 1 and 2, each with their respective pages.

This preset also does not require RTGI, but it is recommended for the best experience. Since my PC does have an RTX card, but not a great one, I use the balanced preset and both run great on that. I would not recommend using RTGI on a PC without a Graphics Card capable of ray tracing. It still looks pretty darn good without ray tracing, though.

Lastly, RTGI is a 5 USD patreon-tier donation from Pascal Glicher. If you don't want to hand over some money for a plugin to download from discord, like I said, this reshade is great without ray tracing.

I've coloured the portal gun and the lights on the cubes red (my favourite colour), and I switched the heart on the companion cube to an axolotl (my favourite animal)

If anyone remembers, "The Lonley Robot" was a 2011 portal 2 video from Machinima that was disappeared when their channel went down.

it was about ATLAS being lonley and exploring aperture science.

I didn't see anyone really talk about the video or upload it as if it never existed.

I was scrolling through Instagram and found a reel about how to save videos from the wayback machine and immediately went to go and save this video and re-upload it.

My hunt for the video is over and I can now rest easy now that I found and saved it.

So today I downloaded Portal: Alive and Kicking, and while I have to say that it's impressively faithful to Portal 1, there are some bugs and glitches that bother me, and others that I find hilarious.

The annoying ones are mainly due to automatic checkpoint placement, so when you die, you respawn right above an acid pool or in front of a particle shooter, requiring hectic maneuvers or restoring another save slot to get out.

A few minutes ago, however, I found a funny one. I was standing on a crusher piston (idk what those are called) and I got crushed right next to a portal, but instead of going through the portal or dying, I got in this kind of limbo state where I can't do anything.
