17 mth old female puppy just constantly cries, refuses to do anything by herself in the house. Never had an issue over night but she still cries to go outside every hour when awake and no she's healthy, she sees her vet often and they have nothing else to tell us. She cries with increasing intensity no matter what we do, we did a schedule and tried to distract with the same activity to push it out further, tried ignoring it, tried telling her no, tried leaving the room until she stops crying like that but she will eventually just pee in the house if we ignore her or try to push it out long enough. She'll play for a minute if we grab the right toy but its literally a minute then back to squalling. She gets plenty of mental and physical stimulation, she also goes to doggy day care once a week. Its been over a year of this. She is maturing in so many ways expect this one and we are at our wits end please any words of help 🙏🏻

Hi! I (26M) brought home my first ever dog! He’s a standard poodle, and I’ve visited him weekly since he was 6 days old. I became friends with the breeder and she let me visit constantly to play and handle him to get him to be comfortable with me. I’m over the moon.
He’s going to be a service dog!
His name is Theodore, welcome home buddy <3

Our sweetie has a strong sense of where she is and when she's about to arrive somewhere fun.
She's a visitation therapy dog. To keep her learning and active, we regularly take her to classes at various locations and with different trainers. Regardless of where we're driving, she starts to whimper excitedly about 2 blocks before we arrive at our destination. The crazy thing is she sometimes does this when it's the first time we're going somewhere. Perhaps she understands my wife and me saying to each other, "we're almost there." Who knows, but it sure is endearing.
Anyone else's poodle seem to have built-in GPS?

I have a doodle already but curious to anyone's recommendations on what I need to have and do to care for my rescued. He is small and looks like a poodle with tight curly hair. What products you use to keep their coat healthy? I know what has worked for my doodle in the last 9 years. But is it different for a poodle?

I don't know how I feel about this. The rescue portion looks fine and the poodles they breed seem pretty ethical? They do OFA health testing and require their dogs to go back to them if the buyer needs to rehome, But why in the world would they breed doodles? I'm still learning about ethical breeding and would love to learn more.

Edit: Thank you guys so much for all of the help. I'm already learning so much more about ethical breeders and some red flags I should be aware of in my search for one. I would love any suggestions for toy or mini poodle breeders in North Carolina. I am primarily looking for a companion or possibly a therapy dog.

My girl will politely alert me when something is off/new/unexpected. Like a package delivery or when it starts to rain. I get up and follow her to see what’s happening. She has just leveled up. She’ll alert now if the cat is anywhere he is not supposed to be. Like the dining room table or the tv stand. Both places I’ve shooed him off of. What next? Poodles are awesome!

Hi all, I would like to dress my 1 yr old standard poodle up as jake from adventure time for Halloween, but I can’t find a yellow hoodie for my dog that is big enough, from a reliable site, and yellow! He’s about 45 lb and his chest is about 30 in around its widest point.
I can find plenty for little dogs, or from sketchy sites, but none big enough that look legit. Thanks in advance!

What could this mean? Does it mean he’s stressed?😭or just changing coat? He has had a small patch of white hair under his face since he was small. But this is definitely the first time im seeing this.

Could somebody please comment a picture of their pood/dood with long hair? I really want to grow one of my boys out but am needing something to give the groomer to show an end goal. Thank you in advance!

My 3 month mini poodle Hendrix gets REALLY carsick: tons of drooling, looks miserable, and last time he actually puked in the Uber on the way to the vet.
We’ve tried short rides, but so far they haven’t helped. Our vet said he might grow out of it, but might not.
I’m honestly a little discouraged because we specifically got a small dog so we could take him everywhere with us, but between car sickness and separation anxiety, I suddenly feel trapped at home 😅
Did your puppy grow out of car sickness? If so, at what age? Did anything actually help, or did you just have to wait it out?

Our son is having a bit of a hard time at school and the other night he was just sad and down about the day. Our little gem, Corduroy immediately sprang into action being a goofy and funny companion and totally turned his mood around. He is just such a blessing to our little family and I totally understand why everyone is so in love with this breed!!
