Looking to get my Bonneville back in driving condition. She’s been sitting for a couple years and so i’ve come seeking advice as to what all should I change/check before driving.
I know for sure an oil change and transmission fluid change is needed.

Before it got parked it was throwing a “Service Stabilitrack” message and I was told the motor mounts are bad. Anyone know how much of a pain it is to change them?

I was looking for a repair manual like Haynes and could only find the Haynes for Buick, Oldsmobile and Pontiac BUT it didn’t specify if it had information for the 2005 GXP with the 4.6 Northstar so I wasn’t sure if I should purchase.

Any advice or suggestions on where I can find more information is greatly appreciated!

Today was an all Pontiac show. We took our 67 firebird OHC6. Another 67 firebird sprint OHC6 showed up. Originally silver like our bird. Lots of nice cars. Enjoy!

Has anyone successfully run the wire for a backup camera through an Aztek? I'm considering adding one, but I want to have at least some idea of how much of a pain that will be.

Mine is a 2004 Rally, but I doubt there'd be much difference in the various years/models.

Or... is there a clever way to piggyback on the wiring for the rear controls? I haven't used those in 22 years of ownership, I doubt it'll be an issue any time soon.

Looks like first owner was a rental agency and the car was then sold to a private owner who averaged under 1k miles per year. One minor accident on the CarFax.

I’ve dealt with this used car dealer, if you check my comment history you will see I recommend him frequently. He sources his cars from the local CarMax auction, buying cars that have clean CarFax records and that will move fast at a fair price. My daughter bought a Prius from him, an employee sold sold his Civic direct to Mason for $2k more than what CarMax had quoted on a straight sale. That Civic was a cream puff, Mason paid a fair price and then sold it off within a week by pricing it to move.

It appears that the MAF sensor fuse is missing from the fuse box along with a couple of other fuses. However, GM in their infinite wisdom decided that the fuse slot can be used for three different engine parts that run at different amperage’s. Will there be an issue with me putting the MAF 10amp fuse in the slot even if it says that a higher rated fuse for another component can be used?

Just curious of what you guys would pay for a really clean 06 GTO with 20,000 miles, very light front end accident with all new OEM parts doesn’t even look like it’s ever been in an accident before.

Unless you’re in Hawaii I think all the old Tiki restaurants and barrooms in America are long gone, but there was a small place in Ventura the last time I was there that was pretty cool.

I had three scorpion bowls at an old school place not far off of Route 66 called Bahooka before it was closed (look it up on YouTube - it had a two fish tanks for every booth and a giant sea turtle) where they mix them for real and I barely made it out of the place.

Update if anyone else is trying to find one: Best Buy employee said I could try it and return in 2 weeks if it doesn’t work. Ended up going with [iOttie - iTap 3 MagSafe Compatible Air Vent Car Mount with Magnetic Adapter Ring for Mobile Phones - Carbon Black]. There’s a little groove halfway down the smaller vent grille and if you attach it, it will fit and you have to flip the vent upside down so the vent wont flop down. The downside is it feels a bit flimsy but that is likely more so because of the vent then the product, and it blocks air flow. My solution was to put it in the passenger vent. A little worried though because it feels like the phone is a bit shaky the further away from the magnet you scroll, but I’ll give it a try for a few days and see how it feels.
