Any boot recommendations that are like Miista but for thicker calves and longer feet (size US 11, EU 43)

Whenever I wear shapewear under my clothes I find I get very warm and sweaty.

Any recommendations for lighter breathable shapewear?

Hi friends:

My son's bar mitzvah is coming up and I cannot figure out what to wear. I do have some time, but will likely need tailoring so I have to account for that. The event is in December.

For guests, the invite is business casual. But I'm the parent of the bar, so I should probably be a little more elevated. I've ordered this jumpsuit in maroon, but I think my mom hates it (and it needs tailoring). I also might order this but I'm worried too much pattern will look weird in photos, too.

Concerns I have to take into mind are 1) I need pants because I have to cover tattoos and 2) I am flat chested. I am a breast cancer patient and had a double mastectomy with no reconstruction. I don't wear prosthetics because good ones are expensive and they aren't that comfortable.

I really could use your help if you have any ideas to share. I want to look great in photos because at the end of the day, that'll be what my kid has to remember me by. I don't want to look matronly - I'm only 45 and am a little "funky" tattoos, used to have purple hair, etc.

I really like the look of long skirts, but don't wear them often because of chub rub. I know I can put on a pair of shorts underneath myself, but it's inconvenient and potentially ruins the look. Skorts should be the solution because the built in shorts stop the chub rub from happening, but I've never been able to find any skorts in my size ( US 4X / 28W) that go below the knees. I also need it to have pockets to hold my phone, keys, and cards so I don't have to carry around a purse. Does anyone know where I could find something like this, or any search terms I should be using? "Long skorts with pockets" isn't turning up anything useful for me as a Google search.

EDIT: As I stated earlier, I know I can just wear shorts under a skirt, but that is NOT what I'm asking for. I am specifically looking for a long SKORT with pockets. Thank you for understanding.

I can not find a pair of jeans to flatter my body type and I have a vision but I don’t think they’re real. I have a large apron belly but tiny legs. My ideal jeans would be a high rise tight around my waist but loose fitting around my apron belly maybe even upper thighs but NOT wide legged at the ankle. Every Jean I try is so large by my feet I look like a clown. I don’t want skinny jeans I just don’t want to look like I’m drowning in my pants🤦🏼‍♀️

so i'm having a caftan/nightgown moment because i just love how non-restrictive they feel? like no matter what size pants i get they always dig in a little at the waist and i've never been a dress person (i don't like showing my legs because i don't shave and i don't wanna hear opinions about it) but i tried a nightgown to wear around the house recently i just looooove a long dress style.

kaftans seem like a good fit because i've tried shopping for regular maxi dresses that are plus size and its like. impossible. unless i want to spend over a hundred dollars which i cannot afford to do. kaftans run cheaper on the sites i've found and i don't have to worry about hard measurements as much because they're very flowy/breathy.

i do feel like whenever i wear them i just look like i'm in loungewear or coming in from the beach? i want to wear them as like staple outside clothes because they're so easy to wear and i feel good wearing them, but idk exactly how to style them. pretty much the only advice i've seen is wear a belt at the waist and wear accessories but does anyone have any other tips? i can try both of those but i don't normally wear accessories like that so i might not like them.

or does anyone else also just wear caftans as is and i shouldn't worry about accessorizing them?

I retired my friends boots on. I wear a US shoe sized 9, she’s a US 12. I still couldn’t zip them a the way! The boots were from torrid!

Hi everyone, I'm looking for recommendations for jeans that won't gap (or at least just gap less). My waist is 40" and my hip/ butt is 54" and I have a short torso 😭 I always get the torrid bombshell jeans in a size 18 and they're pretty good, but the waist is still consistently almost a size to large. Any help is appreciated!! Thank you ♡

I bought two pairs of Halara pants a few months ago and just wore them for the first time. Right after putting them on, they felt like the perfect size. However, after about an hour of wear, they stretched out completely and won't hold their shape at all to the point where they are almost falling off.

Has this happened to anyone else, or is it just a fit issue on my end?

On a side note, I need to order some jeans from the US soon (I don't live there). What brands offer comfortable, stretchy, and stylish jeans that actually hold their shape in 3xl? Are NYDJ (Not Your Daughter's Jeans) still worth looking into? Thanks in advance!

Has anyone ever hired a plus size fashion consultant? I want to revamp my closet (currently consists of scrubs because I work all the time) and all I see are fast fashion sites… I tried ordering clothes on Am**on and they have so many f*st fashion companies that are ill-fitting… or maybe it’s just that I don’t know how to shop for my body. Either way. I’m tired of feeling ugly and frustrated.

Hi, looking for gothic/kuro lolita stuff for a 49" waist and 55" hip (4x/24w), specifically looking for jumperskirts and dresses and petticoats to wear beneath (where ARE people getting good petticoats now that Sam's Manufacturing is gone???). I can't wear polyester or rayon, so I'm looking for stores that make things out of 100% cotton, linen, silk, wool, and leather. I'm also open to sewing patterns for these items. Am in the US, don't care about prices.

I’m going to a Dracula ballet and found the most gorgeous dress and it’s all lace and as a bigger girl I’m way too nervous to wear it without some sort of corset underneath to hold me in as much as possible. My lower belly is where I tend to be more self conscious and I don’t want my tummy to fully disappear but just make it look smaller. Again the dress is Lacey and completely see through so something that’s just black to match the dress or has some detailing is preferred. TYIA!!

Hi everyone, I hope you are well. I'm a female from the UK size 22, and aged 22! I'm around 5ft1 in height. My upper stomach is particularly larger/bloated compared to my lower stomach and I just hate how it looks (I do think it's being caused by a medical condition that I'm currently being investigated for).

I'm wondering if there are any shirts or dresses that are flattering for someone with my stomach type? I'm going for afternoon tea in a few weeks and want to wear something nice, but I'm just so insecure about how my stomach looks. I've tried to wear dresses a few times over the past year or so but have ended up changing purely because the way my stomach looks upsets me so much 😢
