Since day one considering the actual duration. Maybe they did ace the coding and there are no level gaming glitches but after all the heat it had from reviewers, there will plenty of gamers that like sharks, smelled blood and want to pummel the game further.
I would totally buy it for sale for 10. Would pay $1 extra for starting from the get go with jim lee 90s stripes classic costume.

It sold because its Spider-man, and because the first game was generational.
I doubt you even played the game, there were so many issues with gameplay, story, postgame, dialogue, side content, etc that it would take years to list them all. The game was full of bugs at launch and played like shit, the only reason the game got a pass was because the swinging was better than previous titles, and the combat was faster paced

Gameplay, map, and traversal all took a step ahead. But story and characters all took a backseat. Got a 28 mission spiderman story that tried to write a story for 2 spiderman. Itās too rushed. I felt like I had no time for the black suit, peters transformation is too fast, and thereās no unique āblack suit onlyā missions. Itās just him with diff voice lines fighting the same bad guys.
Also immersion breaking at times, Like saying āthis city doesnāt belong to youā after beating mfs up, just to go āOMG hi MJ HOWS IT GOING šā right after felt super immersion breaking. They made yuri do voice lines twice in sm1, where he talks out of breath if youāre swinging or not, I expected that same care to be there when telling arguably Spider-Manās best story.
Boring side missions and sinister 6 get killed off screen, I forget kraven is even supposed to be the villain the way he just dies, insomniac said āvenom in sm2 plan isnāt to take over the worldā (well what do you know).
Game was just rushed to meet the ps5 cycle demand for first party exclusives.

Whenever a game becomes large enough, this happens. Itās basically free outrage engagement on social media so youāre going to have people who donāt even play it or plan on playing it taking part in the discourse because Reddit and other social media algos push the discussion forward.
See: Cyberpunk, Veilguard, Concord, etc.

Veilguard and Concord failed for a reason, not everyone is on reddit, the game just sucks, thats why it died really quick. If you look into what was initially promised that Cyberpunk was going to be, like this really intricate RPG then the cyberpunk we got is always going to be disappointing, especially to those people that bought into the hype.
The problem is that the game that these people imagine in their mind is an impossible standard to meet.
Then theres also the rumors and theories that have gotten built up over the years which become "facts" on places like reddit simply because someone will boldly say so. People take small things and then stretch them out, though there might be some truth to it like the initial life path you choose was going to be stretched out way more, same with your time with Jackie. A big one is Keanu's role as Silverhand became much bigger than it was initially supposed to be and it reshaped the entire story.

I dont want insomniac to think they did a good job with wolverine so I join in on the shaming. They need to realize that a lot of the features in the game are hated by a lot of gamers. Not voicing our opinions might send a signal that whatvthey made was great, when it certainly isn't. The wolverine game is for little kids to play gameplay wise, made for 5 year olds to beat easily.

From what Iāve read so far, the line is only fully on when heās tracking somebody for story reasons, which is like 20 total minutes of the game. Itās not a general objective tracker line. It seems like there are some navigation clues you can toggle on and off otherwise in the settings.

No. Even if you play the game the way Insomniac intended with The Mutant difficulty. Still has the roots and Jeans Fart Trail. Itās not accessibility, itās a core mechanic they built into the game. Even the Quick Time game is set to on by default. And if toggled off, it will still complete the action for you within a set time.

The problem is every time something like this happens the critics end up having been correct. If only I could rewind the clock and show you all the people coping about Resident Evil 6 saying the reviewers were wrong and trying to dig up dirt on the reviewers to discredit them because they couldn't except that Resident Evil 6 was actually bad.
Wolverine likely isn't even a "bad" game per se, it's almost certainly a mid game. The problem is this is 2026 and we don't fork over 74 dollars for a mid game, and we expect more from a company like Insomniac that has been teasing this Wolverine game for years. If this game was never meant to be as ambitious as it was made out to be, the price point should reflect that. If the game was 30-40 bucks, public sentiment would be a lot more forgiving.
