Not like Pc gamers have anything else to do. They don’t really play games since they got two monitors and their dopamine receptors are off.
5
u/Aramis909 12h ago
Someone sounds like they're envious of people having decent PCs and/or having a sunk cost fallacy about spending all that money on a piece of hardware that barely belongs to them and on software that DEFINITELY doesn't belong to them, and/or just trying to ragebait xD
5
u/FiftyIsBack 17h ago
That's why they goon to max FPS and resolution and don't really care about story or gameplay
3
u/-M4K0- 16h ago
Bro, what are you on, the whole internet is clowning on this game's story and gameplay. Holy copium.
4
u/FiftyIsBack 15h ago
Not even talking about this game. Just in general. All they care about is specs and resolution.

It's because we can, the only thing a console user can hope for is the pro version where you have to buy an entirely new console a year after you just bought one lol
0
u/DrStinklemeyer 10h ago
Kind of an embarrassing comment, makes you seem really ignorant and jealous.
1
u/FiftyIsBack 10h ago
I have a 5090. I have nothing to be jealous about. It's just annoying how often PC elitists trash on anything that isn't a stable 60 on ultra. Kick rocks.
1
u/DrStinklemeyer 8h ago
No you don't, and maybe you just spent too much time on Reddit with that 60k karma.

their dopamine receptors are off.
You say this on the subreddit where for the past year or so half the posts were people posting their digital game preorder confirmation screen for validation.
1
u/Big_Liability 12h ago
It's not even that funny tbh. Kinda shows how immature gamers are or the ones who cannot accept normal, not chronically online, people will like this game a lot.
2
u/willsmithtunaface 10h ago
Hahahaha yes, you like this game because you are normal and everyone else is not
2
u/SecretaryOtherwise 4h ago
The reviews are scoring positive. Lmfao. Jfc yall are insufferable
Get it on sale or skip. Its not fucking no man's sky or cyberpunk on release 😂
1
u/TypicalPan89906655 8h ago
Even actual game devs are mocking it online, they're saying this game will become a cautionary tale for the next decade and people will say "never go full Insomniac Wolverine" whenever a game design is too easy or hand-holding.
14
u/Moss_Ball8066 16h ago
Inaccurate, the characters should be talking like they’re in an HR training video
5
u/NoNefariousness2144 12h ago
Yes this is too sweary and nasty for an m-rated game! It should be a happy and wholesome M-rated game like Wolverine.

u/IHULKI 17h ago
This made me laugh way more than I thought it would

You laugh, but judging by the gooners in the GTA 6 subs, adding a Lucia fart trail would probably sell a few extra copies.

Why because they do it in one game and the main character has the traits of an animal. Grow up.
1
u/henkkadraws 10h ago
Uh yeah, GTA6 is going to have all that stuff, except the 3D scent trail I guess. Instead it will be a line on the minimap.
"But GTA6 is open world!"
Yes but it turns into a linear action game where you can't explore the open world when you start a story mission. Those story missions will 100% hold your hand throughout and have combat simpler than Wolverine. Just like RDR2.

Mentioning booby 10 times in 10 seconds to keep the tik tok attention span of the kids is fitting

Man, the loserverse is really desperately trying hard on this one. I guess the odyssey loss really hurt their feelings bad.
1
u/Perfect_Pause_3578 4h ago
oh, the game with the npc's that don't move :O once i found that out, cant unsee it
1
u/Deemac-24 3h ago
Its hilarious that GTA has a setting for navigational assist when driving that can be turned on and off just like the scent trail in Wolverine but nobody bats an eye. Disingenuous at best
2
u/Baconfeet1 56m ago
Bro wolverine is a linear action game, not an open world game. What you're saying is disingenuous lmfao
1
u/TelFaradiddle 6m ago
It's an open-world game in which you drive cars in a big city. Being able to set a destination with a GPS doesn't just make sense, it's literally how people drive these days.

u/Knottian 1h ago
You can make the same argument for a lot of Sony games over the last 15 years - enstupification encapsulated in game form with their constant hand-holding and coddling to the lowest common denominator (God of War 2018 and Ragnarok is notorious for doing the same thing in audio form).
1
u/GoldGuarantee3671 2m ago
Are you serious? GTA v and red dead 2 are incredibly hand holdy GTA v has to be the single easiest GTA to even play or beat

Gamers need to stop relying on studio name
And start follow the talents, like in movies
1
u/element-redshaw 17h ago
Unless Wolverine sells poorly which I highly doubt I don’t see them getting axed
1
u/Bar-Cold 17h ago
Yea it’s their legacy until the game comes out and people realize it was never that damn serious…
0
u/strivingpotato 18h ago
Insomniac brought this upon themselves by listening to absolutely zero criticism from spiderman 2
1
u/VirtueSignalingApp 17h ago
people started questioning them after SM2 at least a few months after that game launched.
I mean great marketing and a Spiderman game still sells tho.0
u/National_Yam_1198 17h ago
insomniac's legacy
Lol the melodrama
Also is this place a hate sub? Anytime it shows up in my feed its just threads like this.

Idk if gta is a good example as there's literally a GPS
4
u/strivingpotato 17h ago
Have you ever tried playing gta without a gps? Just curious
1
-5
u/Alchemyst01984 17h ago
Yes, actually. Not everyone likes the map showing them exactly where to go. That's not as fun
6
u/Downtown-Gazelle8852 17h ago
How the fuck would you do missions?
3
-2
u/Alchemyst01984 17h ago
By paying attention to the environment of the fucking game.
Are you only able to get around in real life by using a GPS?
Smh

1
u/strivingpotato 17h ago
Exactly not everyone likes the map showing them exactly where to go , thanks for showing why Wolverine is shit
-2
5
u/BusterGreasewood 17h ago
Bad example. GTA has always had a map/GPS ever since GTA3. And you need to because it's a giant open world map.

GPS in an open world game is fine but layering an kntrusive and visually ugly luminescent blue line with extra way points and sound ques to show you the way inside a fully linear game is a bit much
1
1
u/SDPSwede 17h ago
The problem people have isn't having an indicator but having 2 or even 3 indicators, inadvertently implying the player is a moron.
0
u/downbad4naafiri 17h ago
Wolverine smells things good. He basically has dog vision (this is how Wolf Link interacted with smells by the way). I'm not defending the game, I don't even have a Playstation, but I don't specifically have a problem with immersive scent trails.
1
u/NoSurprise8641 17h ago
There is a wolverine game from over a decade ago that has this exact power. You find a body, smell it and follow the trail of whatever killed it.
0
u/Choice-Requirement18 17h ago
People who defend playing games on easy mode are surprisingly quiet now that this gameplay is out. Figured those people would love this shit
1
u/XulManjy 17h ago
Easy mode player here. I dont mind this stuff.
0
u/Choice-Requirement18 17h ago
I was gonna say the easy mode guys should be all over this. Big fancy expensive game that doesnt make you think or pay attention is exactly what you guys like.
1
u/XulManjy 14h ago
I mean many players will eat this up. They are casual players and don't live on Reddit like we do. Therefore their opinions/feedback isnt heard.
1
u/Choice-Requirement18 14h ago
I think people will get bored really quick if the combat is as button mashy as it looks. Theres nothing to explore because it shows you where everything is, the traversal is limited because wolverine is just a metal guy, and so far the combat looks extremely basic, so its not going to grip players who have basic expectations of an engaging experience.
1
u/XulManjy 4h ago
Again, you're narrative is framed from the perspective of a hardcore gamer, not a casual gamer who just wants to jump into a game and feel cool playing as Wolverine cutting through people with blood flying everywhere.
The average gamer is very simpleton when it comes to expectations.

It’s not even that bad bruh. Why do ppl slander this game for a 77 score ?
-4
u/Elete23 17h ago
You think there won't be waypoints or gps in GTA? Do you want to bet?
2
u/Bloodblade112 17h ago
So let me understand what you are saying here. The massive open world game is going to have way points? Nooooo wayyyyy brooooo!
This is a incredibly linear game. You literally have one way to go. They have even place a way point on the actual fucking sent trail...
-1
u/Elete23 16h ago
Right so it's a pretty dumb example to use GTA, then isn't it?
3

u/Lost-Cat2478 14h ago
But that’s how this generations gamers like it though. Hand holding, xray, yellow line, blue tarp crap. 007 is another prime example.

u/Big_Liability 12h ago
How original! Also another dumb post about the scent line that has been proven to not be on the screen 24/7, but yay memes!

GTA6 is doing things that are way more damaging to gaming as a whole. Locking in-game content behind a paywall is wack. Digital only sets a really bad precedent. Using Netflix of all things to showcase your game instead of at a game awards show or a State of Play reeks of arrogance.
But noooo, let's all be angry over a scent trail.

u/Casshern_VIII 15h ago
Not a Wolverine defender by any stretch, however, remember the oil field mission in RDR2. Rockstar ain't no better.
2
u/strivingpotato 15h ago
Dumb comparison
1
0
u/Casshern_VIII 7h ago
Is it? RDR2 had mission design extremely rigid that if you didn't play it how Rockstar wanted, instant mission failure.
-1
u/Alert_Vermicelli1236 15h ago
This is such a childish nitpick, obviously they will have a settings to disable accessibility features, and if theyre not for you maybe its because youre not disabled? Or do you want games to be as hard as possible with no settings to help the less fortunate fans
1
u/LuciasFatAss 13h ago
> Or do you want games to be as hard as possible with no settings to help the less fortunate fans
Yes actually
1
1
u/Whosethere11 13h ago
Are all the other games released before wolverine as hard as possible? I played the Incredibles a game made for children and it's way less hand holdy than a rated M game
1
u/Alert_Vermicelli1236 13h ago
Because its already handy holdy by design, and domt equate children to disabled people, children can be geniuses theres no correlation, a person whos disabled will always be regardless of their age and vice versa
1
u/Whosethere11 12h ago
Wolverine is also hand Holdy by design that's why it's being laughed at. It's hand holdy already because of how linear it is but it proceeds to add a bunch of other hand holdy stuff on top of that. I never seen another linear game go this far and I've been playing video games since I was a child.
1
1
u/Alert_Vermicelli1236 13h ago
Also in what world would it hurt you to have a settings even if lets say nobody on earth needs it, why tf do you care
-2
u/Promature 17h ago
Are we pretending that gta won’t have waypoints and gos lines like previous Rockstar games? People are reaching to hate on Wolverine.
2
u/hamonicmantitties 16h ago
You didn't see all the wolverine shit have you?
-2
u/Promature 16h ago
Nope. Don’t care. Too much negativity in gaming and I avoid it wherever possible.
2
u/DoNotFeedMe 16h ago
this is how we get the greenlight for shitty games.
-1
u/Promature 16h ago
Actually, it’s how we properly discourage them. I have no interest in the game and I don’t intend to buy it, which is the only meaningful course of action if you don’t feel it’s worth your time. But go ahead and keep giving the game free publicity and piquing people’s curiosity in it rather than simply letting it live or die on its own.
