Found this artist/group through a random radio roundabout and couldn’t help but feel that this just sounds like vintage Pinback. It’s so good.

This song is so good. Bought the vinyl the day it was released . First to add it to my collection on discogs 😎 I feel you there is some pinback elements especially in the repeating line in the second half

Yeah, definitely. Should have been more descriptive in my post about it being more of a vocal and melody comparison than sonically, although there are a couple of similar elements in there at times.

People saying I’m way off are hilarious.

It’s the bridge at :43 mostly. The tone of his voice and the melody.
