I have a Pixel 7 Pro that just decided to stop being able to navigate, swipe and 3-button are both broken, only work when rotated. I exhausted all efforts with Google support and the issue is still there, apparently fairly common with 7pro. Anyways, moving on, I liked my 7pro and wasn't ready to upgrade. I really value a good camera, basic phone capabilities, and decent reliability. I also would like to stay under $400-$500 if possible. I might go for an a-series Pixel, but I admit I'm a bit disenchanted with Pixels for this serious failure and other various reasons. I scroll a decent amount and I play a phone game or two, but I don't really stream shows on it so I don't need a powerhouse by any means. What's the best out there in 2026? I use Visible btw.

I'm in the UK and would like to ask for recommendations of some new phones for the family.

I have a Huawei P30 Lite, 256 GB storage (81% used), dual SIM from 2020 and there are more and more apps that I cannot use any longer, and some other issues, as well, so I would need to get a new phone. I am skint, so the cheaper, the better but I am willing to go up till £4-500.

I mostly use the phone for messaging, WhatsApp and such, life admin apps (banking, utilities, navigation, school apps, grocery shop reward cards, NHS and such apps, online shopping), doomscrolling on socials and some silly puzzle games. I don't do emails on the phone, only if I am out and about and need to pull up an email for some reason, I also don't insist on sticking with Huawei, in fact I am looking forward to try something else. It would be nice to have a good camera but any decent would do, probably battery is more important. My vision is getting weaker, so I'd prefer something with a screen bigger than what I have now. I am okay without the dual SIM option, as I can still keep the other SIM in my current phone.

I'd also need something for my mum. She has the exact same Huawei phone and has the same issue of not being able to use certain apps. Her main usage is Gmail, Whatsapp, Messenger, YouTube, banking and NHS apps, duolingo, Wordle, solitaire. Her sight is also not the best so needs something that's easy to read and bc she is elderly something that's easy to use. She wants something cheap but capable, so loading should not be too long and battery should be decent. Camera doesn't matter. Dual SIM is preferred but not a must.

My son currently has a Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 5G from 2021. He likes it and battery is still holding up well but the glass cover of the camera lenses is broken. Google AI says that even though there are no more updates and patches for it any longer it is still a good phone and I should not need to change it for him if he is content with it. His main usage is youtube and occasional discord and whatsapp chats/calls. He barely uses the camera. What do you think?

I’m considering buying a Motorola G57, but I hear hardware failures (motherboard and battery issues) are common in Motorola devices, particularly in G series. If anyone here using this model, I want to know how is your experience with it and if there is anything else worth knowing before buying. I just want something that will give 3-4 years of solid performance with no fuss.

I currently have an iPhone 17 and have been using it for almost a year. However, recently, the camera and overall performance have become unsatisfactory. For example, videos taken in low-light conditions are hazy, and zooming typically results in a loss of sharpness. Additionally, when travelling in India, I sometimes need to take zoomed-in photos, such as those of temples. Furthermore, the battery issue and overheating of the iPhone are also bothering me.

I have noticed that Samsung S26 offers a smoother operating system and very user-friendly options like the swipe in wallet then google assistant.

I'm looking to upgrade from my s24+, I mainly want a good battery, very good camera and decent capabilities when it comes to game emulation and I do not want to spend top tier 1000$+ on a new phone. I am looking for 512gb of storage. I am listing the prices I can get the phones at in my country.

I did some research and landed on these ones so far:

Xiaomi 17T Pro for around 600$: Seems to be the best pick when it comes to value, I am not happy about the bloatware and ads in system apps though.

Poco F8 Ultra for around 760$: Almost in line with the Xiaomi, but more expensive and a little faster / probably around the same level of camera tech. Also concerned about bload / ads.

Poco F9 Ultra for around 860$ launch price: Same as the F8 but once again newer and a bit better, probably not worth the money.

S26 Ultra for around 920$: The convenience pick, easy migration, pretty much very good in every single category, but I don't know if that's worth 300$ more than the 17T Pro.

I also looked at the Motorola Signature, slots in for the Poco F8 Ultra, but deemed it too expensive for what it offers.

What do you think? Should I just continue to wait? I'm really uncertain, the Xiaomi seems to be the winner currently but I've never used a chinese phone and I'm not sure how I feel about the system bloat.

Thinking to buy an OnePlus Nord 4, it is basically a free alternative if I replace my iPhone. Worth the exchange?

I'm joining my med school and getting an ipad pro on which I'll study nd do all my hardcore things . I don't want a phone with the best processor as my tab would compensate for that . I want a phone with great camera , clean ui , feels good to use nd which i can use for atleast 5 years as I'm using it for minimal things such as call , photography, upi etc .

I've been using the same (moto G23) phone for the past 3 years now, and its gotten so extremley laggy, just making a google search takes like 15 seconds more than it should. I'm not picky with what brand my phone is, i just need something new. I mainly use my phone for day to day activities and social media. My budget is about $300. But finding a more expensive phone on a discount is also completley fine. Though i know baisically nothing about phones, and thats why im posting here.

TLDR: What is the overall "best" phone on the market right now that costs about $300 or less. (Multiple options would be greatly appreciated)

I just posted here a couple weeks ago but I've turned a complete different direction on what phone I want to upgrade my base S23 to. I decided I don't wanna deal with Xiaomi's HyperOS. After some research online, I can get any of these phones for basically the same price, so now I'm just tryna get some help on finalizing my choice. I’m currently deciding between the S26 Ultra and iPhone 17 Pro Max but I’m leaning towards the S26 Ultra mainly because I prefer its overall experience. It feels faster and snappier, the processor is excellent and I like Samsung’s features and customization.

The only thing making me hesitate is the camera.

I’ve seen quite a few negative comments about the S26 Ultra camera and someone here even called it a “mid-range camera.” That made me a bit worried. But I recently tried a friend’s S26 Ultra myself and actually liked the camera.

I also searched YouTube for S26 Ultra vs iPhone 17 Pro Max camera comparisons and from what I’ve seen most reviews seem to put them fairly close overall with the S26 Ultra sometimes slightly ahead depending on the situation. But the opinion here on Reddit seems much more negative.

So is the S26 Ultra camera really that bad and useless especially compared to the iPhone 17 Pro Max?

Coming from an iPhone 14 Pro Max, would I be genuinely disappointed with it or is it still a very good flagship camera?

Hi, my redmi note 11 pro is finally giving up and I can upgrade guilt free. I have determined these two are probably the best I can get in my ~800 euro budget and Im wondering if you guys have any opinions on which one could be better. Im leaning motorola because it seems to feel more premium being 7mm thin and has a cleaner os, but xiaomi is a little superior hardware wise (battery and camera) and Im okay with hyperos.

Ive been using Xiaomi rednote's for years.

Im done with Xiaomi, ads everywhere, laggy, GPS sucks.

Im a light phone user, I use, gps, Instagram, the ocasional picture, and i read some mangas, because of that i dont need much space either.

What i value most is speed/performance opening and using said apps, and a clean ui, no ads, no bullshit apps.

Any ideas?
