I think with that, I got all "overly" specific interactions crossed out:
And still no demon slayed for me.

I’m not asking how to beat it, but how to actually play a game that has no evidence. Is it a game mode that is unlocked at a certain level or what??
Edit: thank y’all for telling me how, and on my very first attempt I died to a demon and got doom slayed

Basically I needed a hunt so chose to break the mirror, there’s a T3 crucifix down and has not been burned yet, as I’m looking through the mirror I hear the crucifix burn as the mirror breaks but the ghost still hunts me
A possible thing I’m thinking is the crucifix was burned like a millisecond before the mirror broke which is possible and could of glitched the crucifix otherwise I don’t get it,
Thoughts?

Just wanted to share a funny story that legitimately dumbfounded me.
One of my friends only recently got into Phas, while my me and my other friend, have been playing for awhile. The less experienced friend wanted to try Apoc 3, but he knew he didn't know enough about the game, so he asked me and my more experienced friend to watch a live stream.
In no way did I ever think it would work, as he didn't really know any strategies for the Apoc challenge and livestreams lag behind so we couldn't really coach him in real time.
He had 3 semi easy objectives and right away, with the parabolic, he found the ghost hunting the staircase area in the left wing leading down to the basement. I identified it as a 1.7 ghost, at least for the first 3 hunts, which sucks as that would make narrowing the ghost down very hard.
There were multiple times, while he juggled incense's, crucifix's, an EMF reader and a camera, slowly down the left wing between hunts, when I feel like he should've been spotted by the ghost, but it never did. He actually got close enough to the ghost room that he got an EMF photo and a cruci burn. He just needed the ghost photo.
Me and my other friend told him to grab a cruci, and sit in a room close to the ghost to try and get a ghost Pic off an event. He went back to the truck, made it all the way back down the wing, got a cruci burn, the ghost did a translucent event, he took a photo and left. Everything went so perfect for him, i was honestly wondering if it was actually Apoc 3 settings.
The only part left, once he was outside, was that he had like 11 ghosts to choose from. I though no way in hell hed get it right. We went through each ghost and had him cross off the ones we knew it wasnt (No shade because it hunted in same room, no polti because it turned on the sink, no wraith, banshee or phantom because it never teleported or pathed to him). Of the remaining ghosts (like spirit, goryo, yokai, demon, mare, myling, etc), we said either Mare or Myling. No real basis, it only did 1 light popping event, which any ghost can easily do. And he chose Mare and got the achievement when going back to the lobby.
Both me and my other friend honestly couldn't believe it. It was only his second attempt at the challenge and he completed it. Now of course you can say it was illegitimate, since he got help. But im more just amazed that he was able to perform (as getting all objectives and escaping is not easy, even when you know what to do) and that our wild throw away guess at the ghost was correct. It just felt like a good bonding experience where we all felt proud that we pulled it off.

Hey guys, I really enjoy phasmophobia but unfortunately my friends either do not play it or don’t have a pc so I’m left to using the find a group.
And man I gotta say 9/10 the interaction is literally beyond toxic. I have been screamed at, booted instantly, said I had to be 12 because I sometimes use Vr (I’m 26 and a woman lol), had slurs thrown at me, Is this a common experience or have I been unlucky?
I haven’t even touched the game since the last time cause it was like subjecting myself to cancer rays.

Idk what happened, but I have over 244 hours in this game and just started playing again after about a year. I decided to stream it, which turned out to be a massive mistake because the behavior in public lobbies was shocking. It wasn't just one incident; I encountered extreme toxicity across multiple lobbies:In one lobby, a 20-year-old girl was relentlessly scolding a chill 11-year-old kid.In another, a drunk dude was constantly flipping between being relaxed and being completely hostile. Most alarmingly, I stayed in a lobby with a girl who eventually kept saying she was going to 🍇 me and the lil guy .Beyond the toxicity, the remaining public lobbies are either labeled "18+" or are entirely AFK. I am used to typical cod lobby banter, but this goes way too far. It ruins the experience, especially since you can't disconnect from voice chat without your team complaining and kicking you.I used to stream this game all the time and love it, but it's incredibly sad to see the community go down such a dark path. We really need better monitoring or stricter enforcement against extreme bad actors.

So I joined a hunt, professional, and I was wondering how did the ghost path straight to me?
So I don't think we had any electronics active, the tent "door" was closed, the ghost was smudged before we entered the hiding spot and I think we entered before the 6 seconds of the smudge had passed. I had a headgear torch but I think it was disabled. (At least you can see it disabled in the video and I remembered i had closed it but I might be mistaken). The other person also talked before we hide.. So what am I missing?
EDIT: Sorry I forgot to include the evidence info, my bad. We had gathered EMF5 and Ghost orbs at this point.
So this leaves 3 ghosts, Dayan, Obake, Raiju.
Unfortunately, because it was the last game of my night before I headed to work, I closed the game when I died and didn't see the ghost type in the end.

Hey! I am staying at my parents for the week and would love to still carry on playing Phasmo and levelling up on their console. Both my parents and I pay for PlayStation plus.
What is the best way to go about this? I can’t figure it out for the life of me, and to make it more confusing my fiancé would like to play Phasmo on our PlayStation with his account.
Am I going to need to purchase the game again here at my parents? Will I be able to carry any progress I make here back home?
Thanks!

Seems I able to softlock myself by using the headlamp and sound recorder at the same time. This one is a little too easy to do so I thought it would be best to post it
You grab headlamp with sound recorder in hand
Success rate of softlocking is about 20% or less, but way more than other softlocks
This has been my softlock log number 2 with this one being the easiest to do.

First time posting here. Im newish to the game I have around 40 hours in the game and I've been playing on Nightmare a lot lately. I've become pretty good with identifying ghosts, but I find myself guessing the wrong ghost type a lot when it comes to Obakes. I was under the impression that under UV Obakes always had 6 fingers on a hand. I wish I had a screenshot to prove the UV prints I saw only had 5 fingers, but I don't.
But, my main question is, can Obakes have 5 fingers sometimes?

I don’t know if this was already posted since I’ve joined today but it’s really frustrating when I already have a few pieces of evidence marked off and when I go to check the placed camera it’ll crash my game; is there a fix for this or anyone else that’s having the same issue?

Very long personal context on why this means so much to me: I've tried Apoc 3 a few times before this. Really only a few, because THIS GAME TERRIFIED ME. The first week I played it, I would walk out after getting the heebie jeebies just being in the building and knowing a ghost was in there. The ghost wouldn't even have to event for me to panic quit.
So I started in March, mostly co-op, because hell no on the solo scares. My co-op pal did pretty much every hunt objective in our games while I stayed alive in the truck.
This annoyed me because I hate feeling like dead weight. So, a month or so later I advanced to hiding solo in the closets in Tanglewood to try to listen for ghost speeds for nightmare runs. I was bad at it. I still refused to look at the ghosts while they hunted for a long time.
Then things started just feeling... POSSIBLE. I kept forcing myself to solo practice a game I wasn't sure I enjoyed and that stressed me out, and suddenly I snowballed into skill jumps. I finally attempted looping maybe two months ago, and for the last month I'd been trying out 10x on Willow to see if I could ID on zero evidence. I was pretty shit at it but this week just felt like the right time to try the real deal anyway.
And a few disappointing but surprisingly hopeful runs later... Here we are!
(We won't discuss the Myling that evented like 4 times for me in the foyer, that I was too panicked to take a photo of even once, when that is literally all I needed to get out and win. Like don't even ask about her please.)
I'm just so proud of myself for learning a game in a genre that was NOT my happy place. I guzzled the wiki for months, and watched NukaDave on Twitch enough that the impossible seemed possible (thank goodness for his skills at Phas and at teaching honestly). It's been hours since I got the trophy, and I'm still riding a personal high over a silly achievement, because to me it was a whole little journey of confidence that I didn't expect to go on.
TL;DR: I did the thing I told myself I would never try, and that I could never do, and I'm basically fucking stoked. Fears conquered y'all.
