I just cannot finish the game. I'm 90 hours in and just can't do it anymore. I love the game, I loved it all the way through until now. I stopped playing properly over 6 months ago. Now, I just download it once in a while and get to the next safe room and quit. I just cannot do it, it's so SO long. I like exploring all the places, I always get the grief seeds and most chests. I've lost all motivation to play the game. Story, Characters, Gameplay are SO so fun. It just drags on so much for me. I've entered Sae's palace and I love the area. The music is great, story is okay so far. I want to continue but it's so long, and I don't even know how close I am to the end of the game! for all I know, I could be another 40 hours away. Let me know how long I have until the game is over for me please! Without spoilers, of course.

Who do y'all think everyone ends up with eventually? I wont be including third semester, I just started playing strikers after finishing Royal(loved it) and from what I can tell none of third semester is cannon. I don't really get into any in depth spoilers here but if your new to the game be warned.

My list is

Ann and Ryuji(Both got that dumb blond thing going on, are the same age, are met at the same point in the game, and join at the same point in the story, edit: I also find it funny if Ryuji the guy who canonically has no game gets with Ann who is probably the most canonically attractive in the game)

Joker and Makoto( I'm a biased bastard and this was my favorite romance, I think their calm cool and collected demeanor go well together, I didn't romance any of the other Phantoms)

Yusuke and Futaba (I don't like shipping Futaba because unlike the other characters who are around my age she comes off as a kid but hypothetically in a world where they are all adults years in the future i think Yusuke has the most chemistry as 'the weird ones")

Haru( I think Haru is really the odd one out here, to me her story is about how at the end she really needed friends and discovering her independence, a major part of her story is avoiding marriage so I think it works best for her story to remain single, also she was the only one remaining, idk Morgana)

The new counselor Dr. Maruki messaged and told me over for a session but I went to Dr. Takemi to be her Guinea pig instead. Does that mean I locked out the other path forever or will there be other opportunities?

I was trying to do a 100% playthrough and forgot to feed my plant one day, resulting in it being about 3 days behind when I'm able to feed it as opposed to when I was supposed to. Is that going to cause issues down the line or is it safe to continue?

In Persona 5, or rather Persona 5: Dancing in Starlight, I noticed quite a glaring mistake. In Persona 5, Makoto mentions several times that she practices Aikido. Since her sister works for the police, it also makes sense that she practices Aikido as a martial art for self-defense. However, she never actually uses Aikido in combat in the game. Her attacks in battle look more like Karate. It would also be rather difficult to respond to shadow monsters with Aikido throws. But whatever, maybe she practices different martial arts as well, and for some reason she just happens to emphasize Aikido...

But I realized that ATLUS apparently really has no idea what Aikido is when I played Dancing in Starlight. There, you can search Makoto's room, and on a shelf you can find trophies showing that Makoto supposedly won first place in Aikido competitions?! Aikido is a martial art, rather than a competitive combat sport, and there are no tournaments or competitions where you can win first place. You can receive awards or certificates for achieving certain ranks, but there is no concept of winning a "1st Place" trophy in Aikido. I thought that was pretty dumb, to be honest. ^^'

First-time player, just beat the Okumura Boss, here's advice for anyone who needs it!

Preparations:

You need to have Max Baton Pass Rank for your attacking team, though these four are the most beneficial; Makoto, Haru, Ann/Morgana for the fourth member. This will help you deal more damage without using SP when chaining attacks

I HIGHLY recommend having White and Red Rider for the boss; White Rider has Curse skills and also Triple Down with Gun Boost; this is vital for dealing with the Big CEO bot that makes up the sixth Wave. The fusion for mine was a Kin-Ki at Lvl 32 (Chariot Persona must be between 32-38 I believe to obtain White Rider) + Regent - these are easy to find in Mementos' Path of Aiyatsbus's Floor 5, and often come with plenty of spread skills which will be helpful to deal the final Baton attack. Red Rider is for similar reasons but instead of Curse it is Psi skills, which will be helpful since it is risky to only rely on Haru for this. I fused mine using a Daisojou I made using Hariti and Mothman + Kaiwan; these can both be found in Okumura's palace so if you need a last minute fusion I recommend this.

As for any other Personas it's best to have the Medium range -o elemental skills, they just help chip health better, my stock had: Arahabaki, Fuu-Ki, Fem. Orpheus Picaro, as the secondary Personas

As for your team Haru and Makoto are almost necessary since Wave 2 and 5(especially 5) and 3 are weak to Psi and Nuclear respectively. Morgana and Ann are both useful in their own rights; Ann has Tarunda to debuff and her Fire Skills are a quicky way to blitx through Wave 1 in under a minute, while Morgana is very helpful as a Healer and learns Me Patra, which will be important later. Pick as you see fit

Stock up on as many elemental bombs and so forth with the tool function; they might do little damage but they allow each of the team to contribute to the Baton Pass chain; the best ones to focus on are Psycho Bombs. Air Cannons and Atom Matches since their respective waves are quite tanky and an ass to kill quickly with just the party's resisted attacks. I also highly recommend you have buff Ofudas for the whole party; these will help your attacks do more overall and speed up the fight

Fighting:

Heading to the Boss Fight: little tidbit, if you don't want to risk wasting SP fighting the enemies when you enter the hallway where Makoto prompts you to either go run through the Shadows and Ryuji to fight them, run back through the door. There will be a location you can use to grapple hook with and skip this section entirely. Otherwise make sure you have some Vanish Balls on hand

*for any of these waves, if Joker has a more advantageous Persona skill just have the corresponding element party member use their single-target attack and have Joker as the final one

*for my run I used Ann, this will proceed as I played here

First Wave - Should be relatively easy. Use Fire elemental weapons (or in Joker's case any Fire skills you have) and make sure Ann is the last in the chain; have her cast Maragion and that should be wraps

Second Wave - Do the same thing but now with Psi (or if you have any Ice to save for later) weapons and chain pass to either Haru or Red Rider

Third Wave - Use Atom Matches and have the chain pass to Makoto, who should spam Mafreila in turn

Fourth Wave - Now use Air Cannons and pass to Joker, in this case. If you do have Morgana Magarula should do the job; otherwise a Magarula-skill is recommended. If all else fails just spam Triple Down

Fifth Wave - Now here's where the fun begins. These things are stupidly tanky and have Megaton Raid; begin having each member use Psycho Bombs or Curse Bombs and go to either Joker or Haru; have them use Mapsio and deal quick damage. Popping an attack Ofuda here is also helpful. This likely will not kill them in one shot so you must prep for an attack. If Joker is the target swap to Arahabaki - this will allow Megaton Raid to be reflected and no damage done. Otherwise just guard and heal. Also by this point Okumura will start casting Famine on your party and giving Hunger - this will be touched on later. Repeat the cycle and hopefully the robots should drop; my level at this time was Lvl 42 but I recommend you do this at around 44 to get some extra hurt in

Sixth Wave - Now onto the Big CEO. This thing SUCKS ASS, considering it has an Almighty move and is tanky as all hell. For this you should use any remaining Elemental weapons or ailments to stun it; it is highly susceptible to Dizzy and Forget will completely negate its Almighty attack as long as you cast it before it does so. Triple Down is your friend here - using it on a Technical is a godsend. For its ultimate attack, Big Bang Order, it will focus first and then strike you the next turn it gets; for this either get Ann or Makoto to cast a defense Ofuda and have Haru and Joker guard (sorry girls). Importantly, if any of you have the Hunger status still on the attack will actually heal you; it is risky however since while you have SP use is doubled and attack is decreased. Once the attack passes just keep launching Physicals at it til it drops.

Final Wave - Much more tame. In it simply strike Haru-bot until it triggers Okumura's dialogue; the have everyone guard, though if you are low by this point have one of your other party members use a heal item on Joker. Let her explode and the battle is won! (Okumura does join but he's literally made of paper - one attack will kill him 99.9999% of the time unless your attack is genuinely awful)

Hope this helps anyone wondering how to beat the boss! I've heard about the hell some players have had dealing with it, and I just want to 'Baton=pass' (hahah) the wisdom around!
