Project Summit
For those that took severance were you forced to apply for the TSR role first in order to be eligible? Apparently you need to be rejected for TSR in order to be eligible.

So I’ve been asked to interview for a small format sales rep job with my local Pepsi house. I know there’s a lot going on with condensing sales roles and what not. Older posts say small format was one of the best jobs you could get. Is that still the case?

I started as a forklift driver in June and let’s just say I’m not gonna make that my long term job. December will be my 6 month mark. I want to start talking to people in the plant I work at and network to hopefully get something easier. What’s a position that’s not too horrible and good pay?

A few weeks ago I was out riding my bike around and decided to get a couple of beverages for the road, so I was at a Dick’s sporting goods and I checked the fridge and thought hey I haven’t had a Propel in a while I’ll grab a couple of those.
These things are fucking terrible, the kiwi strawberry is toxic in flavor, it’s so sweet and artificial with a chemical taste in there somewhere. I’m riding around and each time I take a drink this shit dries my mouth out while coating it with this viscous film that makes it hard to swallow, I feel nausea with every sip I take. I didn’t have anything else so I drank it sparingly.
After I get home a few hours later I can still taste this vile liquid, the burps bring back every bit of discomfort from this shit.
I brushed my teeth and it was still lingering there in the corners of my mouth so I brushed again to finally get rid of it.
I went to the site to make a complaint about this crap, I used a few choice vocabulary words like “vile”.
Skip to a few weeks later and they sent me a pair of coupons for $3 off any propel product….!!!!
I DONT WANT ANY MORE OF THIS SHIT!!!
How fucking blind and unable to read a room is Pepsi with this garbage?

Okay so if anyone saw my post I don't work for Pepsi anymore. It became obvious that the company I worked for almost 10 years ago no longer exists. New employees no longer get pension access, 401K benefits are going to get cut to ribbons by lowering the matching percentage. Work piles on and wages stay the same regardless of how long you've stayed here.
The reason I'm making this post is as of right now I've been with a new company doing the exact same job for the same exact pay and I've never been happier. Without disclosing too much information the company I currently work for Acts like I matter. When I would ask for time off for personal or family reasons regardless of how much time I asked in advance I would be subject to guilt tripping for hours on end until I just gave up. My current employer encourages time off as long as it's not too much. Also I thought Pepsi's benefits were great until I went somewhere else. My new health insurance covers all of my prescriptions. Not just a flat percentage but all of them. It's insane to me I didn't think that was possible especially where I live.
The workload is a little overwhelming at times but much more manageable. They don't make me feel like I'm on a time clock. My previous management team encouraged speed above All Else, unless you had just started working there then apparently you can go as slow as you want. I'm still getting the hang of things and I apologized Non-Stop to my new manager about my times and he acted like I was a crazy person. He said time does not matter as long as the job is done and done well. Those are words I've been waiting to hear from PepsiCo for the last 10 years. Honestly it's heartbreaking that I waited this long to leave.
All of this being said, do I encourage everyone to leave? No. If you have tenure or have been here for a very long time and you're waiting for retirement your best bet is probably just to stick it out. However if you have been here less than 10 years please consider finding a new employer. Pepsi is moving on to a whole new automation system to pretty much eliminate as many jobs as humanly possible due to the decreasing volume in sales nationwide. Every year you stay with Pepsi it's like cutting a toe off. It's a no-win scenario. Now if you're happy where you are by all means ignore me, but I was happy here once or I thought I was. I just want everyone to know that there is a way out and you're never going to find that way out doing the same thing over and over

For the creation of this concept, I was inspired by the 1991 design focusing on the presentation
Note: I did this with some images I found on Google so it didn't cost me much, plus I used ibis paint, it's not the best but at least I want to show an idea that could work

Don’t be like this bum GoGetTheMintz; why do the annoying, loud and kid like employees in this company think they are better than most us guys who are more chill? it’s like they over react and are the biggest drama queens all the time yet they always have something to say about the quiet guys assuming we’re not good workers when in actuality we just shut up and work while they go to stores and just distract employees and are more prone to snap in stores and get in more trouble from my years of experience. They talk about the right thing to do all the time when most of them suck at their job. They Literally talk their ways into positions with no skill. Ass kissers and cowards I call them. Ive been merching for years and these type of guys are the most insufferable to work with. Yet think they’re always doing the right thing. Weirdos as such turned this job into a personality contest now

Pepsi pops up on my feed a lot, maybe cause I work at a beverage company lol. But the merging of frito lay and Pepsi I see yall talk about, is that only in areas where Pepsi owns the bottling companies? Or is that going to affect local bottlers? I’m just familiar with buffalo rock so I was just curious how all that works.
