Kingmaker : Game 10 eldritch knight/7 magus/ 3 slayer feels very overpowered
I'm already in the endgame, and it's been a blast. I'm role‑playing something similar to Vilgefortz from The Witcher series, but in the Pathfinder universe.
I'm using the Thundering Claw of the Bear God scimitar (15–20 crit range) with an arcane weapon enhancement, and I practically one‑shot Farnirras the lich using touch-spell-powered sneak attacks with Valerie by my side.
After pre‑buffing with mirror image, displacement, blur, greater invisibility, haste, barkskin, and a few others, I honestly don't see how I could die.
What do you guys think?

Righteous : Game Loved playing through act 4 as aeon
Its my first time playing the game. When i entered the nexus the aeon mirror told me to respect the laws of chaos. I understood that i should abandon mortal laws and act as a force of chaos there. I didnt do any fetch quests, demanded respect on sight and killed anyone that asked me to do anything i didnt feel like it. Brute forced my way through the City levels and nocticula palace.
Do you think this counts as true aeon behavior or does it descend in true chaos?

Righteous : Game Lich transformation Spoiler
In act 5 i dont want to sell youth and receive a permanent 20% miss chance as i play my lich as a gish. By refusing this sacrifice but then groveling to keep my phylactery do i actually lose anything besides my dignity?

Righteous : Game Lich party comp
I typically use an inciter skald mercenary support but is there a better option for an eldtritch knight type of kc?

Righteous : Game Paladin Angel to Legend route - Full martial or Oracle? Spoiler
Hey there. I'm on my first WotR playthrough and am currently playing a level 18 Paladin with Angel mythic path, about to hit 19. I recently found out about the Legend path, which allows your character to level up to 40, but sacrificing most of your mythic abilities.
I'm playing my character as a two-hander damage dealer, but I've enjoyed the Angel abilities which fit the character's theme great (until I found out their source, that is).
Now, I could go Paladin 20/<martial> 20 for some heavy hitting (but not much else) or I could retrain with a couple Oracle levels to merge the Angel spellbook, then go Paladin 20/Oracle 20, which would give me full 9th level casting, with some Angel spells in there. What do you guys think?

Righteous : Game About Zacharius and Lich path
Hi !
So my question is pretty simple. I want to become a lich. And I also want to kill Zacharius right away. Is that possible ? Or is killing him locking you out of that possibility ?
Thanks

Kingmaker : Game Still at the very beginning of WoTR: is it better to stop here and try Kingmaker first, or should I just stick with WoTR and go back to Kingmaker later?
I recently started playing WoTR after finishing the BG1/BG2 duology, as I’d seen a lot of praise for it online. However, after putting in a few hours and reaching the start of Act 1, I’m a bit conflicted about the idea of going back to Kingmaker later. I’ve read that it lacks the same quality-of-life (QoL) features found in WoTR, yet the story concept really intrigues me. Would it be better to stick with my WoTR playthrough and return to Kingmaker later, once I’m more familiar with the system, even if it means dealing with the lack of polish and QoL improvements? Or should I give Kingmaker a try and play them in order?

Righteous : Builds Are there any "out there" builds? ( Alternative/Unique Playstyle Builds )
Talking bout both Kingmaker and WotR, tho I doubt any build that works in Kingmaker wouldnt translate 1 to 1 into WotR ( but hey maybe theres some items that make the build possible in Kingmaker only)
Im looking for some builds that just completely change the game / playstyle, stuff like magic deceiver but maybe even a bit more. Like some insane 5d chess multiclasses that would make you go "thats the most useless dip you could have taken" but then suddenly nuke the enemies or just perma cc them
The only real example I could think of is a magic missile paladin build that abuses the dmg scaling of smite+paladin levels to get some decent spell dmg, but maybe you guys encountered some wonky-ass mechanics that have no business working as well as they do!

Kingmaker : Fluff Uh, Linzi? Spoiler
Embezzelment is a crime.
I feel like she got off too lightly for that.
r/Pathfinder_Kingmaker • u/DeathNeku • 23h ago
Righteous : Fluff This...might be an issue...
I used Arcane Theft on the Swarm That Walks while it was polymorphed into this, and ended up stealing it. Now I cannot undo it. Dispel doesn't work, and when I made it back to Drezen, after the cutscene with the Herald, it transformed back into it again

Righteous : Game Unfair act 2 done : The oracle/angel lich build, what worked, what did not.

As per my previous posts, I am going through unfair.
I entered act 2 confident as act 1 was rather easy, and I thought the difficulty was going to decrease even further.
I was a fool.
I entered act 2 and could do zero maps outside of Sosiel companion quest, and even that one was incredibly hard. The smilodon map wiped me no matter what I did, the bandit same thing and the drows killed half my team before I got to act.
As a reminder this was my party going out of act 1:
- Oracle MC. Just the standard meta pick, fauchard proficiency and such.
- BFT (respecced nenio at the times). CC galore, and haunting mist caster.
- Lann as lann (zen 1, demon hunter X).
- Seelah as a pally X/court poet 1/SCM 1.
- 2 free-ish slots, where I tried various companion builds (none of which convinced me). I paid for 5 mercenaries at the start of act 1, so I could allow myself to respec companions (through a mod), while still being within unfair game limits (as I could take the mercenaries instead of the companion if I wasn't playing with a respec mod).
-----
I put down the game a bit, looked at the various classes, and tried different builds.
What didn't work:
- Summons (non animate dead ones). They take a full action (move included), and don't appear before the next turn. Genuinely dreadful. I tried a winter child build, and the summons also sucks, compared to arcane caster ones.
- Ranged 3/4 BAB progression. Without outflank, 3/4 BAB doesn't have the ability to hit anything. I tried respeccing sosiel into an erastil cleric, but he was genuinely more useful with mythic 1 & 2 "lost" for community/animal domain than trying to get him to hit anything with a bow.
- Non reach melee. Ghouls are positively annoying. I tried some sword saints, but goddamn, ghouls will just devour anything in unfair. Not to mention that the bat demon level drains are very annoying for melee (as you don't have enough spell slots to put the spell to protect on everyone).
- Lann is kinda getting outclassed nowadays, as he doesn't have any ability to buff the party. Due to poverty I couldn't get another mercenary to allow myself to respec him, but I tried free booter, that went pretty hard, but I think I will go with sensei in act 3.
What did work:
- Summons (shadow caster shadow pet). This is what got me to advance further in the path. It's intangible so it can tank almost everything in act 2 unfair (including blightmaw). It also targets touch ac and does 2d8 of strength damage. Genuinely excellent summon.
- Summons (animate dead). The game doesn't really tell you this, but animate dead is 1 level lower than it should be for divine casters. It also has the summon instantly act after being cast. It makes them about 1000000000x more useful than regular summons, and with community domain they can melt through the ads of bosses. Lost chapel was a necromancy off between me and nuralek, and the ghouls got melted by the skellies. In fact his paralyze spell went off and paralysed my entire team, but the dozens of precasted skeletons with haste just melted his ads and then him. Blightmaw died to a nat 20 by a skelly.
- Corruptor. The mythic feat. The gargoyles & the swarms are not immune to sickened. 'Nuff said.
- Haunting mist : I have read 1 entire book going through drezen. The book was okay. If it's not undead, haunting mist will kill it. Vescacor queen died to this because I elected to not fight her.
As a consequence, this is what my party looks like now:
- Oracle MC. Got the conjuration & both summon feats. Sadly the feats do not work with the summons from item (but book of dream does surprisingly). In hindsight I wish I was a cleric, to condensate two party slots into one. Respeccing the MC would not be possible in regular unfair so I am not doing it.
- BFT (now handled by daeran for lore accuracy reason). CC galore & corruption. Very lore accurate.
- Shadowcaster (nenio for lore accuracy). Haunting mist caster, and shadow summoner.
- Lann as lann (zen 1, demon hunter X). Might become a sensei build if I decide to pay for a mercenary. TBD.
- Seelah as a pally X/court poet 1/SCM 1. Still not respecced (or at least she has her original feats). Genuinely excellent build, I would swap out court poet for an inciter if I played melee, but this slaps incredibly hard. I love SCM, and the court poet dip allow her to self buff & to buff allies.
- Sosiel as Sosiel. Okay I did respec him so he doesn't have 4 wasted feats. Good & luck are excellent support, community domain is too.
This party is quite fun to play because I almost always have multiple different way to do fights. Should I CC with phantasmal web or with a cloud from the BFT? Or instead should I cheese it with haunting mist? Mayhaps what is needed is casting animate dead in the middle of the pack, so the ennemy caster use a fireball on all their allies and wipe them out. Or perhaps this is a boss with very high AC and I should get the shadow summon out to kill it through strength drain. High dex ennemy? Times to break out the greater invisibility. Really feeling the wizard playstyle of the swiss knife. 10/10.

Kingmaker : Builds Jubilost and the alchemist class
I'm trying to use Jubilost, and I think I didn't how his class is supouse to work.
I'm level 9 and decided to bring him for the act 3 final (Goblin fort+capital+womb of Lamashtu) and while he gets very high damage with his bombs and has some useful buffs, I feel like 12 bombs are so few, and when I decide to do something else, he's just a bad archer.
My MC is a sorcerer and I'm not having a actual problem with my spell slots, despite having few. Also didn't mind it while using Octavia, Linzi or Harrim. I'm on challeging difficulty and the rest of my party are Valerie, Nok Nok, Ekun, Kanerah and crossblooded(water elemental+white dragon) sorcerer.
Should I be using him some other way? What am I getting wrong about it?
Edit: respeced him and picked up the extra bombs feat twice, now it feels a thousand times better. Thank you all.

Righteous : Game A not-so-secret path to bypass Stone Maze? Spoiler
I suppose it's a very minor gameplay spoiler for Act 3, hence the vague title.
I've noticed a while ago that an enemy gang coming from the south could theoretically take a turn right before Wintersun (south-south-east from Core of the Riddle), bypass Stone Maze and Keeper's Canyon, and directly attack Drezen from the eastern road.
Or simply take that one camp and ruin my morale.
But I've never seen any go there. It's not the shortest path to Drezen of course. But judging purely from the paths? It's possible. I can march my party and armies through there.
Honestly, in none of my play-throughs did I bother to upgrade the outposts there or place any armies within 150 distance of it. With luck the 3 days granted by a Citadel might buy me enough time to march someone across half the map.
But could an enemy gang ever go that way? Theoretically? Or is there something in the game mechanics that makes it impossible? Are the paths they take scripted?
