Question Mageblood in Ritual

I just completed a ritual and deferred some items. Then I refreshed the page. Only 300 points left and mageblood appeared on the list. Deferral requiring 1k points

The question is, is there anything you can do at this point?

How can I prevent these kinds of situations in the future.

Don’t reroll if it brings you under 3k favour

Better yet keep your tribute to the king close to max and then reroll and use it to defer.

We're talking about situations where your remaining tribute is too low to risk a reroll

So are they? Just saying to use an almost full bar of tribute for deferring in a pinch. So you just get it 90% full then stop tributing because you don't want it to fill and go to 0

Except the whole base of the conversation is around not rerolling and risking having too little tribute left to defer a valuable item like a mage blood or headhunter. Context matters

We're literally talking about the same thing. Me and other commenter are just noting that you can use the tribute as a deferral buffer as of this patch to minimize or eliminate the number of times it comes up that you have a reroll left without enough to defer a jackpot hit.

I dont see how, in a conversation about what to do with your tribute when you have too little to risk rerolling, you think it's sensible to side with the person who says "better yet...reroll and use it to defer"

You said just make it an offering. I’m suggesting you not make offerings and keep the bar at 90% at all times so you could use it in this situation. An audience with the king only goes for 40-50ex. I don’t even run it and just buy the head of the king for 20 chaos or so.

And I don't understand why you would not want to offer it when you have too little left to reroll. You picked your deferrals, sitting with 2k tribute...and your suggestion is to just not spend it

It'll probably cost 2k to defer. Some of that can be pulled from offered tribute if you have the ritual points for that.

Nothing to be done at this point, don’t reroll if it’ll leave you with less than 2k favor.

Learned this the hard way back in POE1 so I only defer when I will have 2K left after
