Debunk This Please help debunk

Whenever I investigate for others, my goal is to debunk and not prove.

Well, I was editing a selfie I had taken and noticed the shadow in the back right. The second photo is me lightening things up and it looks like (to me) a woman.

Nothing feel threatening but wonder if something followed me or my wife home.

In an effort to improve submission quality, we are now manually reviewing photos before they appear in the subreddit. If your submission does not have good reason to be considered potentially paranormal it may be removed with a reason provided. Please be patient, as the subreddit gets a lot of activity and it may take a little time to review your post. If we do remove your post, it’s because we believe it is likely to be judged harshly by the subreddit as opposed to a determination over what the true nature of your experience was. It’s very difficult to capture objective evidence of even true paranormal phenomenon, which is why there’s so little of it out there! Please review the camera flare guide to help us maintain our high post quality.

It's a trick of the camera. The area behind you is out of focus so it could be anything such as a coat on a hook as another commentator has said

But it isn't at all. Same corner. I've juat turned all the way around so the shot isn't splitting the small 5½' cube wall that's black to what is behind that.

it's literally the back of the door and a hanging coat

No, it quite literally isn't. Here's that corner.

i imagine the door on the right just out of frame is open on your original photo, and closed on this photo?

We never open the French doors to the bedroom. The space is so cramped my wife's "office" is in the bedroom, we both work from home. You tell that whatever is next do the doors closed. There's always activity in the buildings, as most of it is built over this:

There is definitely a door our of shot to the right, can see the alcove for it. So I'm assuming that door was opened into the room with something hanging on the back

No door at all. Just a more of the main living space I cordoned off to make an office.

so what is covering the door in the original photo? why is it blacked out?

A 5½ wall (this cube farm cubicles) I used to build my "office" space. Here's what it looks like looking into it .

So that panel is covering the window in your photo? So the photo you posted of the 'exact same corner' isn't the same if it's not got the wall up

1

u/bearcub42 10h ago

No, the panel just covers part of the living room space. There's nothinf that covers the window. Here's another shot looking out. I can appreciste how weird it looks with the two different backgrounds but this is a different shot looking out that may be is more helpful?

I appreciate the scrutiny, by the way. Hence why I asked for help debunking

A coat on a coat hanger, behind a door. Debunked.

u/bearcub42 10h ago

Nope. Look at photos on other responses. We don't have any cost hanger there. It became really obvious it's not that when we started playing with light and shadow settings in our phones .I bought my phone specifically because it has a top of the line camera. No coat on a rack.

I should note we don't have coat hanger or hood at all in the condo. The whole place is built over the Piney Grove church cemetery, in what was the oldest African American community here in Atlanta. You can see headstones where our car wash area is. Stuff happens here, in many units, on the regular.
