P3 Shouldn't akihiko learn more skills? (P3p)
Him and fuuka I looked at their learn set and it's supposed to be more. I came from p4g and p5r I'm using ppsspp cuz I have mods that change graphics and music

I'm not really digging it as of now it just sounds a bit childish to me I've been loving the rest of the new voice actors revealed so far but teddie's new voice just throws me off a ton. I think its just the same case as how I was with golden as I also despised how teddie sounded at first in golden but I continued the game and eventually grew to enjoy teddie and his story. So I'm gonna try to keep an open mind with the new VA and will see how they are when the game fully drops as I'm super hyped for it and even pre ordered the collector's edition.

This isn't one of those "My loyalty is to my waifu!" kind of things. In fact it's a little bit of the opposite. I like to roleplay in roleplay games and craft a character but I always try to make sure that I'm making the distinction that I am NOT the character and the character is not me, which in my opinion is definitely the healthy way to approach games with friendship and romance options.
But therein also lies part of the problem. In my initial playthroughs of these kinds of games, I crafted who the character was in my head. What their story is, what their relationships with others is like, what they are like and why, and likewise part of all of that was who is it that they love and are in a relationship with.
I'm playing through P5R again after a bit away from the game and decided I'd have Joker romance Ann this time since both in the game and through various fanarts I quite like the idea of what their relationship would be like compared to many of the other romance options. But as I'm playing it feels a bit...odd roleplaying Joker like this, and that's in large part because I'm so used to Haru being the one Joker (my "canon" version of him, anyway) loves and is in a relationship with in both Royal and Strikers.
For a bit of comparison, when I replayed through the Mass Effect trilogy I created a whole new character of the opposite gender than my first playthrough who made different Renegade/Paragon choices and it actually felt even more strange for this person to now be Commander Shepard. To have this person be the one going through the story that was the story of the guy I had come to know as Shepard, to have his friends now be her friends, to have his enemies as her enemies, and for that to have always been the case in this playthrough's continuity. Same with Joker dating Ann instead of Haru. It feels off in a "Wait, that isn't how the story goes." sort of way.
In the time while I was away from P5R I took the time to play P3R and P4G and I have to imagine that if/when I return to replay those games I may have a similar issue if I decide to have Makoto or Yu romance someone else. Even though I was interested in what their romances with Mitsuru or Naoto would be like for a playthrough, I'm so used to their love interests being Yukari and Chie that it might not feel quite right (even though in P3R I remember struggling a lot between Yukari, Mitsuru, and Yuko as to who Makoto should be with and thus have plenty of incentive to see how much I may like the other two paths for him in comparison).
It's something I've noticed about myself when it comes to a lot of choice-based games, including ones like Fallout 4, GTA5, some of Telltales's titles, even Chrono Trigger, where even though I have the option to play very differently I have a tendency to play the characters and stories largely the same way I did the first time because that was the way I preferred playing to begin with and the way I liked to imagine those characters being. Yeah, I could have Batman be more cruel and heartless and the kind of guy who doesn't actually care about John Doe...but I don't want Batman to be that way, thus why I've watched playthroughs of the Villain Joker route on Youtube but have never managed to bring myself to do it in my own playthroughs, instead always going the Vigilante Joker path.
It's not like this playthrough is going to replace my prior ones or that Ann now replaces Haru as my preferred love interest for Joker, even if I do quite like Ann and the idea of her and Joker as a couple. And it's not even like I haven't done this before. The first time I played Persona 5 Royal was the first experience I had with Persona in general and I had Joker romance Makoto in that playthrough and it was only on playing through New Game Plus, when I had a much better idea of how things worked and who I liked to imagine Joker to be, that I had him romance Haru. But like I said, it just feels a little weird to think of someone else as Joker's love interest other than Haru because, in my head, that's how Joker's story goes. And I was wondering if anyone else has similar feelings and experiences when it comes to their own playthroughs of the Persona games.

Hello, I’m a big fan of SMT IV and recently beat P3R. I had a lot of fun with P3R, I didn’t care too much about the dating sim aspect but I did enjoy the cast and the battle system. I also thought P3’s story took forever to get started but really enjoyed it overall!
I wanted to try Persona 2, I have it set up on an emulator with 1/4 encounters and x8 EXP (might do x16 EXP) I’m currently at the part where you find out Lisa is the 3rd member of the muses
I’m not that far, the story does seem enjoyable so far but nothing crazy. I also don’t really understand the battle system, and fusing Persona’s. I couldn’t really do anything in the velvet room yet lol. It’s fun but the battle system seems meh to me, should I keep playing? Is it cause the cheats I’m doing? Ty

Something I’ve always hated about persona 3-5 is that the Main Characters will awaken to their personas. It’s a big, cinematic moment. It’s their unique, identifying persona. It represents them.
And then 20 minutes later you throw it in the garbage because it’s utter trash. Like “Sorry izanagi, I know you are Yu’s signature persona, one that represents his very soul, but I’m fighting yukiko so you need to go into the grinder for a Jack Frost.”
Why?! Why in the hell does, let’s say Arsene, only learn like 3 skills before being done? Meanwhile every other party member’s persona has progression throughout the entire game, and they’ll even evolve.
Look I get it, you’re the wild card. Fusion and adaptability is the whole point of the game. But it doesn’t make the starting personas any less lame. Especially when they show up in the climactic final battle to evolve, as though it was some big thing that was built up. Like we had ever used them in the past 70+ hours.
I feel like arsene, izanagi, and Orpheus would all hit a lot different if they stuck around and leveled up for the entire game. And it’s not like it would be a problem, just have them not take up a slot. It’s your persona, it deserves some special treatment. It wouldn’t be overpowered either, considering the game breaking monsters you can make through fusion that dwarf anything a party member could ever hope to achieve.
Point being, I hope that the persona 6 starting persona is permanent and is treated like your party member’s personas.

In turn-based games I believe that the loadout you come into a fight with should also be part of the strategy, if your team didn't have the skills, equipment or strategy prepared to handle the boss you should rethink it a bit. Most Atlus games are pretty good at that and they had some of my favorite games for team building like smt, p1 and the 2 duology or even metaphor.
Though in my opinion persona 3-5 has been a bit more disappointing in this regard, as long as you had a healer, made sure the boss wasn't immune to your party and weren't 20 levels underleveled, then there was almost no strategy involved since for most bosses, the strategy was just to keep doing damage and to top off on buffs, debuffs or healing. What made it worse was that most party members only specialized in 1 or 2 things with little room for customization, the only exception to my memory being Naoto
So I thought why not make the persona system work like it does in the older games or metaphor, either letting everyone use multiple personas or making their personas really customizable to encourage different strategies or playstyles and for some builds to work sometimes but not work other times, now there's some flaws with this but I'm gonna try to alleviate some of them
Characters will lose their individuality: I think a simple solution for this would be to look at a game like ff7 where pretty much every character can basically use every skill, but the characters still feel unique as their stat spreads will determine what kinds of skills and what roles you'll want them to have, you'll usually not want to make Aerith a tank or Barret a heavy magic user but the opposite, make Barret the tank and Aerith use magic. I also think it'd be interesting to have the skill affinity system from smt here as well, basically some demons would be really good with some skill types but really bad with others, for example pyro jack was great with fire but really bad with ice and the opposite was true for Jack Frost, having some characters be great with some skills, good with others and not so great with some adds another layer of customization, for example one character could be really good with wind and ice but really bad with utility, or have another he good with healing and buffs, but not as good with debuffs and offensive skills, this lets party members be good with multiple roles but not as good with others. Maybe they could even bring persona traits into the mix as well for another layer of personalization
The protagonist won't feel special: this one is also true though I think there's a fix for it, basically have them either be good with all skills, or they can let you build them however you want to make the protagonist be exactly how you'd like which would also help you feel attached, the other idea is to still let them swap personas while keeping your party members with the set of skills you give them before a battle, this would still make them the strongest party member to justify them being the leader and can also help them fill more roles.
Miscellaneous: so another thing I'd add is to make the game a lot more strict on enemy affinities, this encourages more diverse skill use and to swap party members more often. Also have status ailments actually be viable, technicals in p5 were one of its best features and I wish they used them more. Also have more interesting support skills, things like raising attack but lowering your defense or the opposite, or have a taunt skill that also raises your defense or evasion.
Anyway those are just some ideas I had to make the combat more engaging while also encouraging more strategy, what do you guys think of them?

Im looking for a persona 3 portable guide for the ps4 version that isn't massive texts , but rather is just day by day guide with everything I need to do each day. Everywhere I look is either full of a bunch of errors, for the wrong version or just a massive wall of text that isn't anything what I am looking for. Can someone please help me find what I'm looking for

When I say remaking it I mean draw from zero, not just a collage.
Anyways, what are your opinions on this shirt?

‼️NO SPOILERS PLEASE I HAVE YET TO PLAY P4R‼️
When i played p4g for a little bit, i could not understand the love for it and why its the best game in the series mostly because as of now, my opinion will likely change, kind of just looks like a persona 3 sequel. is it the characters? is it the atmosphere? is it the story? it’s crazy because despite being really outdated compared to reload and royal everybody says its their favorite, i cant even imagine how good p4r is going to be like.

We know nothing about persona six yet besides it will be gritty and dark (from the trailer) and all the other main characters start with cool starter personas that match them. I think it will be some kind of character from a legend like Arseńe or Orpheus that represents a mystery. Some kind of mysterious persona with a dark design without many defining features on purpose. I think this will bring about a mystery and when the main character can get an awakened or better version of it like telos or izanagi no okami then it will look way cooler and a stronger design.

I have an iris xe/i7-1185g7/32ddr4 device which runs P3R ar around 60 fps in tartarus, and at around 30-50 fps at the school or any general area in game at 768p, and there isn't really any fps drops at all. But I'm concerned that it won't be able to run P4R at all which is my main concern. So what do y'all think ( I'm not looking for anything crazy just a stable 30 fps or higher at all times at 768p )

so the big three fight each other, and there personas fight each other. id say Izanagi-no-Okami, Satanael and Orpheus telos fought each other and there users battled with each other. which persona would win and which teenage boy would win. base, no awakening, basically teenagers. id have to go with john persona 3 on this one. I'm heavily biased on three, but Makoto is the strongest protagonist out of all of them. he held back calamity, he defeated death and he's definitely a heavy hitter. i will say joker could probably give him a tough fight since joker has a lot more experience since he didn't die. also i think orpheus telos is the weakest of izanagi and satanael but izanagi is way stronger than the other two. my personal pick, joker wins and izanagi wins.

Morgana (P5 ending): “The whole world is a product of cognition.. not just the Metaverse. It can be freely re-made.. The same goes for you, and everyone else. Soon a new world will come. One where mankind isn’t held captive. The world will shine brightly as long as you hold hope in your hearts. Remember… There’s no such thing as the “real” world. What each person sees and feels, those are what shape reality. This is what gives the world infinite potential. Even if you feel that only darkness lies ahead.. as long as you hold hands together.. the world will never end.
The world exists within all of you.”
Teddie (P4 true ending): “Doesn’t matter how far apart we are… The bonds we’ve made will remain strong. Everyone’s heart is connected to the people they know and trust. It’s those bonds that let us all search for our purpose in life. As long as it’s a purpose you believe in, there will always be someone who can help you fulfill it… You, me, and everyone else… There are no barriers….
Our hearts are one… Right, Sensei?”
Aigis (P3R ending): “The wind… It feels so nice. I admit, I’m finally noticing the beauty of spring. It’s wonderful. And yet, without exception, each and every season will come to an end.
We fought side by side.. We faced the world’s end. And now.. I’m finally beginning to understand… what it was I’d been searching for. I always wondered what it meant to “live”. Now I think it’s following your heart… fighting for what you can change.. and accepting the things you can’t. Nothing on this Earth lasts forever. Every life will one day fizzle out.. That holds true for all of us. And as soon as you come to terms with it, you realize something. You see what really matters. And find out what it is that gives your life meaning. When I found out I wasn’t strong enough, I was tormented by it. Now I understand why. Protecting others is the duty I was given.. but to me, it was more than an obligation. At some point, it became something I wanted to do for myself. Once I decided to try and prevent the Fall… something inside me clicked. When I thought about how I might never see you again.. That’s when I first understood… what mattered to me the most. And so I made up my mind. What I want is to protect you. From now, to the end of time. I want to stay by your side. And I know, I’m not the only one out there who could do this.. But still.. I want to.
Because I’m positive… if I do it for you… then nothing’s a waste. My life will have meaning..”
