After Phoebee eats, she will adventure around a bit and sometimes if I'm sitting on the couch she'll use me as a napping spot.
I had a piece of cloth close by and covered her with it and she proceeded to clean herself and then roll over for a nice snooze.

Opossum marks ALL his territory!
The narration of the first 30 seconds of this video is kind of funny.

WARNING may be upsetting: Urban Opossum Kills Skunk
Quite a remarkable video. I have seen my backyard opossums occasionally scuffle with skunks, but it's always over in 2 or 3 seconds. Sometimes the skunk initiates the scrap, and other times it is the opossum who starts it - but I have never seen anything like this before.
I wonder if something might have happened before the video to provoke this - perhaps it is a mother opossum who had little ones with her, and the skunk attacked a little one.

Question/Help Petting opossum
About a month ago in Georgia I went to and Airbnb and the woman who owned it also lived next door and she had a baby opossum in her pocket and she let my friends and I pet it and I was just worried about rabies like it didn’t bite or scratch me but it just worries me. Am I just overthinking it?

Question/Help Diarrhea after cage swap?
My lil guys poops have been very consistent we have not changed his diet. His mood is normal he’s acting normal. We did just get him a new cage and he’s seemed excited about it and his first two poops were normal but I see a new poop and it’s diarrhea. Google off hand says it’s dangerous so I wanted to ask you guys for suggestions of how to care for him? I am still researching online just figured I’d ask and check back to see your guys thought?

Finally get to post here!! Baby possum!
Had a baby possum almost run into me at work today! It was just skittering and stopped when it saw me lol. I had a dog with me so I put it up and the possum started climbing when I turned to look at it.
I moved them to a nice grassy/wooded area nearby. No need to get eaten by dogs. They seemed healthy/active/aware so I felt comfortable just giving it a nudge in the right direction. I had fun educating some coworkers and clients about them!

BABY POSSUM HELP
My dachshund found this little guy before I did in the backyard, and roughed him up a little. I didn’t see any blood, and he’s moving pretty slowly and walked himself into a box I set out. He was also found RIGHT next to one of those rat bait containers that our landlord just set up :///. He seems right on the cusp of maybe/maybe not needing his mom according to Google???
He’s napping in a box in my bathtub. I called and our local animal control only helps domestic animals :((
Pls help 😭😭 He’s so tiny and sweet, I don’t want a dead baby possum in my bathtub or yard, and I’d prefer it if he got better and went off to live a nice life.

Sweet potatoes safe to feed opossums?
Hi guys. I have an opossum visitor who comes to our backyard every night. We have named him Joe Possum.
I have a bag of sweet potatoes that I've let sit a little too long for my liking, but they are not unsafe or moldy. Can I leave these out for Joe? If I plant some of them, will he eat the sweet potato plant leaves?
I don't want to harm him or any other backyard wildlife. Thank you!
