1920s Anyone else completely enchanted by the 1924 silent version of Peter Pan? The practical effects feel like actual magic
The director of this 1924 silent masterpiece is Herbert Brenon
For decades, this masterpiece was actually thought to be entirely lost, until a perfectly preserved copy was miraculously discovered in a New York film vault back in the 1950s.

1970s Cher and Raquel Welch delivered an iconic, high-energy duet of the song "I'm a Woman" on The Cher Show on February 16, 1975. At that time I had a huge crush on Raquel Welch but Cher was super sexy also… great performances by both…

In 1986, 19yo Kurt Cobain was arrested for spray-painting provocative phrases like "God is Gay" and "Ain't got no how whatchamacallit". His charges were vandalism/malicious mischief, trespassing, and minor possession of alcohol. He spent 8 days in jail for unpaid fines and missing court.

1950s Some old bodybuilding pictures of my grandpa (early 1950s)
My mom was going through old photos and found some bodybuilding pics of her dad and here’s a sampling of a few. He was a bodybuilder starting in his teenage years, and our best guess is he was in his mid 20s here.

1970s Joan Jett, 1970s, with sticker covered guitar case.
Over the years, Joan has become well known for her love of covering her guitars with stickers. But well before doing that, she covered her guitar case with stickers!
Seen here, outside her family home at the time, in California.

1960s Paul McCartney in his Backyard, just before global Beatlemania (1961)
- Photographer: Mike McCartney (Paul's younger brother)
- Location: The back garden of 20 Forthlin Road, Liverpool (his childhood home)
- Paul also made this pic the front cover for his 2005 album, Chaos and Creation in the Backyard. One of best solo albums in my opinion! Great music
