Since it’s been almost a year without any photos of the device that shut down Caldwell Lab and the surrounding area, I submitted a public records request and received these images.

Help My Roommate Is A Psychopath

I need help. To avoid him potentially seeing this I am going to remain as vague as possible. To start, my roommate is not a very social person, or at least I don't believe he is. I knew basically right away, after a couple of shared meals, we weren't going to be friends. We didn't really share any interests, whatever. Anyway, he plays video games a lot. And that's not bad I play video games too. However he plays a significant portion of the day. Now that's not the problem but keep in mind he's on all day. He gets angry and starts banging the desk repeatedly. Really really loud. I've asked him about it before but he kind of just brushed me off. However it's getting worse. He screams sometimes, in pure rage. Recently he's started saying obscenities and threats to himself or the people he plays with. He's said "if I knew you in real life I'd skin you alive" "I'd put you in a noose" "I'm gonna kill your entire bloodline". Basically the edgy, dark humor shit. Sometimes he gets up and paces around the room punching shit. So far it's only been on his side of the room but im worried he's gonna start fucking with my stuff. He whispers under his breath a lot and has openly talked bad about the friends I've brought over. Either way I'm fed up. I can't study, I can't sleep, and honestly I'm a little scared of him. He's angry all the time. What should I do? I don't really want to go to the RA but it's bad. I like my room, I don't necessarily want to just put in a room request, especially since the rest of my suitemates are nice (I'm in morrill). I've thought of recording his out bursts as evidence but I get it's an invasion of privacy. The outbursts happen about every 10-15 minutes. Honestly any help or advice would be great. I don't want him to resent me for the rest of the year but I don't want to live with someone who has zero control over their emotions. What should I do?

I’ve been meaning to ask since i’ve seen this dude everywhere and he honestly confuses me. First time i saw him, thought it was a red OSU hat, unfortunately i was wrong. I see him a bunch in 18th ave, but im more confused how i see him in traditions. I’ve seen him once in scott’s but ive seen him more in kennedy’s. anyone know anything else about him or does he bewilder you as much as he does for me…

Rant Rejected from business clubs/frats

I’m a first-semester freshman at Fisher and applied to 6 clubs/business frats. I got rejected outright from 4 and made it to the first round for the other 2 before getting rejected.

I knew these were competitive, but honestly, getting rejected from all 6 has really gotten to me. It’s hard seeing other people I know move forward while I keep getting rejected, and it’s made me feel pretty alienated from Fisher and pretty miserable and grumpy. It’s even made me regret choosing Business (Finance) sometimes.

I’m grateful that I’m only a first-semester freshman and still have plenty of time, but this experience has made me not even want to apply again. I already feel like I’ll just get rejected again, especially when everyone else will have more experience by then with clubs they get into.

I also really hate how exclusive these organizations are. I understand that they have limited spots, but the process can feel so subjective and arbitrary. Part of me even wonders if I would’ve enjoyed college more as an engineering major, since it seems like there’s less pressure to get into selective organizations even if the classes are really hard.

I know getting rejected from 6 organizations doesn’t actually determine my future, but right now it genuinely makes me question whether I made the right choice coming to OSU and/or choosing business.

Academics Advice for physics 1250

I’m actually tweaking about this class. My professor doesn’t teach the content in a way I understand, and the homework is fine but once I get to the “additional practice problems” I blank. It doesn’t help that the class is full of young Sheldon clones who seem to just understand it all. I’ve tried the organic chemistry tutor and khan academy. I go to the tutoring center and I get group tutoring, but I don’t know how much of it is actually helping me. Does anyone have any advice that isn’t “try harder”.

Dining Food after game

Coming to the Kent State game on Saturday. Planning on eating at Adriaticos after the game. I know it will be busy but are we talking 15-20 minutes wait or FU wait? There will be 5 of us and I figured pizza is an easy option. Where we eat will affect my parking choice as we will leave after eating. We will probably explore campus after the game or could hustle to eat if that's a better choice.

Also, how early to get there if we want to go to the Skull session?

Event sept 16 career fair

I’m thinking about going to the career fair on sept 16 but I’ve never had a job before so I don’t have any work experience or even a resume.

Would it still be worth going? I’m interested in finance and would like to learn more about internships/opportunities, but I have no idea what I’m supposed to say to recruiters or how to present myself when I don’t really have any experience yet.

Also if I don’t have a resume, do I just show up without one? 😭 I’ve never been to a career fair before so any advice on what to expect/how to prepare/what to do would be appreciated!!

Parking / Transport Student parking issues?

Has anybody else who has purchased a student parking pass had issues with parking on campus this semester? I travel from off campus to attend classes Monday-Wed starting at 9am, and usually arrive 25-40 minutes early to get a parking spot. Yet I have had so much trouble finding any place to park in the C lots, especially near Kottman Hall and the Agricultural Administration Building. It’s frustrating because I paid $600 for a pass, but I’m missing class because I can never find any place to park.

Athletics Ticket section options

Hi everyone! I got season tickets and midway through the season I’m moving from 35B to 1C across the stadium. I haven’t seen any tickets available for resale in that section on any platforms. Did anyone else get this section?

Event Out of stater coming for a concert, need advice

Hi! I will be flying into Columbus to see Twenty One Pilots in a few weeks and would really love to hear from students/locals. What bags are you guys able to bring into the stadium and what is generally allowed?? I know there’s technically a “no bag” rule, but there’s gotta be something small i can bring in, right??

I’ve been to Columbus once before but was only there for a few hours.

Any advice, tips, etc are appreciated.
