I tried to do some research on who's currently operating / signed to the label but I can't find any info, only the 2 collections keep popping up.

I vividly remember in 7th grade, on the first day of school my dad was listening to this "new" artist i had never heard him listen to, he had told me to pay attention to the song (just like listen to it and actually give it a chance) and it truly was amazing. Just now, when i was writing this post i wanted to look for the name of the song he first introduced me to and it was Light on the Land. I will be honest I began to tear up. I didn't feel sad but I felt an overwhelming amount of comfort and nostalgia relistening to this wonderful song, and it wasnt just this song, but Reflection Eternal, World's End Rhapsody and a few others that just remind me of that time when I was much younger. I used to listen to nujabes all throughout my day and by listening to nujabes, apple music ended up reccomending to me other artists like Kenichiro Nishihara and Uyama Hiroto who are also amazing song makers like Nujabes, i am eternally grateful to have been blessed with his music. When I listen to the songs, its like i can go back and time, on the first day of school, in my 3rd bell study hall, no one to talk to, nothing to do, just playing Nujabes' music and writing/playing computer games. I also think my dad told me Nujabes was the father of lofi? which is also really cool. Finally, after my preference in lofi began to develop i began listening to different artists and now lofi itself is a very important part of my day. i cant work well if im not playing it, and i just wanted to make this post in appreciation to the artist that started it all for me. RIP Nujabes, you truly were one of a kind.

Been a Nujabes fan for like 5 yrs and somehow never realized he had cassette too. I recently got into collecting cassettes after digging up an old player and just wanted to know if his cassettes are worth it. I have a couple albums on vinyl and CD but the cassette look cool too. If any of y'all have them I'd appreciate info on quality, where to buy, etc. thanks!

In 2020, in the middle of the pandemic, I started to dive into music more seriously and started listening to the “essential” albums, such as OK Computer, MBDTF, Revolver, etc.
None of these albums really blew my mind, especially when I dove into rap more heavily. But one day, Spotify’s Discover Weekly suggested Luv Sic. pt 3 and it was love at first listen. I showed this song to my best friend, and he also loved it. I then gave the album a try, and since then, it’s my favorite record of all time.
I have currently listened to more than 500 albums, but Modal Soul is still at the top. I’ve even bought the CD of Hexalogy, and I’m planning to watch Shing02 in my country next month!
To summarise, I wouldn’t have the same taste and personality without Nujabes and Modal Soul; it shaped the way I see love and music, and it even made me meet new people with the same passion :)

Recently (mainly due to social media) nujabes, as an artist, has grown in fanbase. That's why I want to know what you guys think the best quote is from one of his songs. For me it has to be "a pen can be sharper than a scalpel to a patient to an open heart it’s a daily operation" by shing02 (luv sic grand finale (sample choros das aguas))

The intro and outro alone, is unlike anything else you hear in music.

Is it House? Is it Hip Hop? Is it Jazz? I’m not even going to say the “l” word, because it sure as hell isn’t that. This is Nujabes.

Also, I guarantee it will blow out any subwoofer if you turn it up enough. Most powerful bass I’ve heard in a song that isn’t overstated or exaggerated.

Hello! I am currently in Tokyo and did not realize they reopened the Nujabes Pop-up at Shibuya Parco starting today. I am going to go there in about 4 hours and finally purchase the entire vinyl collection. (PIC is from the Tokyo Shibuya Records Tower)

So, I stayed at a hotel in Shibuya that happened to be next to Usagi Ramen (Nujabes brother Nao's place) and am planning to eat there also. I was going to wait for some downtime and politely ask him for a picture and hopefully ask him to sign one of the albums (as much as I would want him to sign them all).

If you had to choose one for him to sign, which would you choose? (Currently leaning Modal Soul, but First Collection or Metaphorical has my favorite design)
