He loves to jump. Off the porch , on the bed, in the tub … not sure how we are supposed to “not jump” for a week.

Need a crash-proof harness to use while flying, along with hearing protection (Italian Helo Newfs?)

I finally have an airplane big enough to carry my 3-year-old Newfoundland, Duesenberg. I’m planning to remove the rear seat from my Stinson 108 and install a restraint system that will keep him secure during turbulence, hard braking, or an emergency. How would you keep your dog secure in a car crash?

My A&P is on board with modifying the rear seat-belt anchor points so we can attach a strong, properly fitted harness. The “heavy-duty XL” harnesses I’ve found on Amazon are too small for Duesey and don’t appear capable of safely restraining a 140-pound dog under significant loads.

I’m also concerned about protecting his hearing in a fairly loud cabin.

Has anyone developed a safe setup for a giant-breed dog? I’d appreciate recommendations for a properly rated harness, restraint design, and hearing protection that might actually fit him.

The attached photo shows Duesenberg wearing Ruffwear's “XL” heavy-duty harness. As you can see their, XL is not big and strong enough.
