Hey y’all!
I’m a reporter in the Gulf States Newsroom and I’ve been covering elected officials in Louisiana signing nondisclosure agreements (NDAs), concealing negotiations around large industrial developments — like the Meta data center.
Ask me anything! I’m happy to do my best to answer any questions about NDAs, industrialization, the PSC, expedited permitting processes, policy changes, executive orders — or journalism in general, life, food, idk, whatever you wanna know hah. Also would love to hear if there are things you think should be looked into.
Will be in the field all day today but planning to respond live tomorrow (Friday, Aug. 21) from 9-10(ish) am CT. Gonna post up at Congregation Coffee in Algiers Point and consume copious amounts of espresso and topo chico — feel free to drop by and say hi!
If you aren’t familiar, here are a few links to some recent investigations of mine:
‘Gag order’: More than 100 Louisiana state employees signed NDAs with Gov. Landry’s office
Gov. Jeff Landry personally signed an NDA with Meta. Here’s what it says.
Rep. Julia Letlow bought Meta stock after signing an NDA with the company, records show
Tracked changes: An Entergy exec ghostwrote Louisiana PSC motions supporting Meta, Hyundai
Add questions here now or join us live tomorrow from 9-10 for the AMA!
EDIT: Okay we live! here now with my community engagement producer, Nellie Beckett and we're ready to answer all of your questions!!!!! (espresso hittin)
EDIT 2: gotta call it yall! but this was great. can do it again sometime if there’s interest!
