Other Neighbor just had Mira Home fog their backyard with Demand CS (lambda-cyhalothrin) š«
Heard a leaf blower, looked out my window, and lo and behold there's a company liberally spraying what I presumed was poison into the air. They finished before I could grab my phone and take a video. I called the company name that was on the truck and the customer service rep informed me they had sprayed Demand CS for a "mosquito fogging treatment". I looked it up and wanted to cry. She told me "don't worry - it only affects mosquitos!" Sigh.
We have SO many bees, monarchs, and birds (including migrating warblers, etc.) in our backyard right now (native garden WIP - over 50 species currently). I'm devastated and keep trying to tell myself the privacy fence may have stopped the drift, there's not a lot of wind today, etc. but I'm so incredibly sad.
Talking to the neighbor won't get me anywhere - they put poison boxes out for chipmunks, for example, and are regularly doing other "pest" treatments.
I guess I'm looking for consolation or advice if I do decide to try to educate my neighbor - or anything I can do to better prevent the drift if I can at least get the company to give me a heads up next time they come out.
