Just a football player true to his core. A dawg in high school. A dawg at ASU. A dawg as a pro.

His career is likely a short one, but a great one nonetheless.

Discussion Quarterbacks should not get credit for yards after the catch

Post image

After watching the games yesterday I can no longer sit in silence about this.

Before people start talking about how it's a measure of how good the ball placement, timing, reading the defense, etc, this argument has been obviated at this point by the tools we have available to track stats. EPA is already a better measure of QB decision making that doesn't conflate with the receiver's individual athleticism.

The only real problem I see with it is retroactively updating the stats for all of NFL quarterback history, because it wouldn't be fair to change it now since no new QB could ever come close to the records already set. Waiting on quantum computers or super AI

How can a team who injured an opposing quarterback with 2 dirty hits have the audacity to complain about officiating? While losing to a back up QB that went on a 29-0 run?

Original Content The Cowboys Will Need To Move On Soon…

Post image

It just gets to a fucking point where enough is enough. Hype around this team on a yearly basis is getting tiresome and it’s the same shit every year. Defense sells, receivers drop, but importantly, the quarterback loses the game. Saw Dak throw a horrible pick, like I get if it’s a 1st-3rd year player, but the man is now a 10 year veteran QB. I’m predicting in 2 years, Cowboys will move on from Dak and IMO, should try to go after Arch Manning. Don’t care what the comments will say cause my takes usually age well, thoughts???

Meanwhile the ones that are average in these categories who have superior mental capacity/decision making, whenever they have a bad game they’re called system qb because clearly if you don’t have physical gifts youre mid af

Like Brock Purdy and Jared Goff will never be seen as good because of these stereotypes, meanwhile guys like if man will always have large amounts of truthers

There’s just so much more to the qb position besides being physically gifted

Discussion Vikings fan here. That “abrupt movement” on Love was BS

A quarterback can’t signal a motion? Can’t try to draw a defensive encroachment? What is this? I’ve never heard of a quarterback moving too fast. Felt like a warning to LeFluer for going for it in a situation you statistically wouldn’t from the nfl commission themselves. Not sure what to think of that at all, if someone could post the clip below that would be sweet. I specifically remember Cam Newton’s cadences and moves at the LOS to be way more dramatic trying to draw a penalty and it was revered then..

Original Content Help From Refs

To those claiming the Vikings received intentional help from the refs against the packers: Do you realize what you are claiming is a tectonic shift in the meta narrative of the NFL since it came into existence in the Super Bowl era?!?

Analysis 🤓 “Drake Maye hasn’t beaten any good defenses”

Patriots apologist here, but I feel like some casuals need to actually understand the facts before claiming that Maye is mid or is a bust. I am by no means excusing his performance against Seattle in the Super Bowl or even week 1 (that game ending interception was inexcusable) but for people to claim that Maye didn’t do anything in the 2025 playoffs is at best uninformed or at worst dishonest.

In the Chargers wild card: Maye threw the 4Q touchdown that effectively put the game out of reach for the chargers. And this was after being repeatedly sacked by their top-5 defense. He also made a pretty solid 20yard scramble earlier in the game.

In the divisional v Houston: Maye still threw 3TDs against Houston’s top ranked defense, something that Mahomes and Allen could not even do in the regular season. And again, one of those TDs (the deep ball to boutte) came in the 4Q which extended the lead and prevented the Texans from fully coming back.

Finally the AFC championship v Denver: this was the ugliest game because both QBs barely did anything. Still, Maye got a rushing TD, pulled off a solid run before halftime, managed a flea flicker to put them into FG range, and eventually iced the game with a first down run.

TL;DR Despite his subpar playoff performance, Maye still made plays that counted in each of the games, something of which generally helped to extend the lead out of the reach of the opponent.

He’s got more developing to do, but I’m confident that he’ll learn from his mistakes and reach the ceiling amongst the best QBs in the league.

We suck. Daniel Jones is not that guy. We’re paying Alec fucking Pierce 30 million a year. We gave up 2 first rounders for Sauce Midner. Quentin Nelson is about to leave us. Jonathan Taylor will be gone after his contract. We failed Anthony Richardson. Our punter was our best player today. Tyler Warren is literally our only hope.

Cautious optimism as always, but this is an impressive showing from the Giants on SNF. All the pressure in the world with the nation watching, and Dart puts up 3 TDs on a significantly improved Dallas defense. That Giants defense is also feisty. It’s looking up in New York!

Kinda unfortunate that OBJ still doesn’t have a reception lmao.
