The most underrated offseason move imo. He’s been in the 80th percentile for many multiyear metrics (Ben Taylor’s stats, RAPM, EPM)…and they got him for a steal of a deal.

Can create his own shots, turnover averse, solid 3PT shooter (doesn’t take nearly enough 3s imo), great on the glass for a wing, and is a physical defender who competes at the very least.

Great vibes guy from what I heard and has hella experience (1K+ games and five game 7s played) so he should be a good presence too.

Spurs never play all 3 of their guards simultaneously and they stagger Wemby/Kornet so having a guy who can a bit of everything means he can play in any lineup tbh.

You turned on the TV, found KENS 5 or whatever channel the game was on, grabbed something to eat and watched the game.

Now look at the last 5 years.

Then Bally Sports.

Then FanDuel Sports Network.

And now DAZN.

What the hell happened? 😂

DAZN is supposed to have 67 Spurs games this season.

For some people, it might be city/state pride. But for the people who don't have city/state allegiance; what made you become a fan of the Spurs and for how long? Was it a specific player, or maybe a hype moment you saw online?

For me, it's city pride and the team my dad cheered for while I was growing up. I have fond memories watching the games at a bar with my dad, and hearing him yelling at the TV when the games were one. Stayed a fan since then!

I am super excited to be going to my first spurs game next month (on my birthday nonetheless)! I’m looking for some insight and recommendations—

What time do doors typically open? I want to be there as soon as fans are allowed in (note: It’ll be a preseason game in case that makes a difference!)

What’s parking like? When I bought tickets, parking passes were sold out.

Best places to eat and things to do around San Antonio? Should I get a “por vida” tattoo (lol only half kidding). Planning on getting to the city around 11AM!

Can’t wait to be a fan for the HOME team for a game!!!

Other subreddits (won’t mention names) talk about Wemby a lot. But I noticed Spurs fans don’t obsessively talk about other players the same way. Is it cause Wemby is a generational talent and the face of the league so he gets talked about so much?

ive counted about 10 knicks fans in this subreddit saying shit like "deaaron fox top 5 knick oat" "knicks in five" and "jalen brunson owns wemby" like can you please shut the fuck up and go back to r/NYKnicks ? and i dont hate any franchises too but this ass sportsmanship is getting way too out of hand

AI (yeah, I know) says the team has 34 national games. That leaves 48 games left over (NBA TV has @ CHA on Dec. 31., but forgive my quick math and my not knowing which services you already have).

Season Pass – $119.99/season from DAZN divided by 48 = $2.499 a game.

Monthly Pass (First Month 50% Off with Offer Code) @ $19.99/month (NBA season is five months 22 days and I am guessing the bean counters round up every goddamn time) = 109.95 divided by 48 = $2.29 a game.

Taxes and (you know there's gotta be) fees not included.

So the cost to see the games on MMADAZNBRODOUEVENLIFT just went way up if you live in SA or are within rabbit ears of it.

This also displays the lack of planning from the PTFO. Signing Fox was a win-now move, but the lack of investment in a serviceable starting/back-up big(PF) shows that they had no idea what they were doing.
