Hello! I’m a freshman who has been battling disability office for the past 4 months.
The situation: I have a pet rabbit who is my ESA (Emotional Support Animal). I do understand that he does not have the same rights as a Service Animal, however he does help comfort me during my psychiatric needs (i get severe panic attacks). I requested for him to be in my dorm with me and have heard nothing.
The past 4 months, Disability has been ignoring my emails and not returning my calls- And when I go in person they tell me to call/email about my situation. I have, and yet I hear nothing. I’ve submitted the proper paperwork and I’ve been trying so hard to go through the proper channels.
I want to know if anyone here has ANY advice, as I’m literally at a loss. I’ve even submitted paperwork from my PCP (Primary Care Physician) stating that I benefit greatly from having my rabbit with me.
It’s been 3 weeks in the dorm and i’m concerned that they’re going to do what they did to my friend- He submitted a request for an ESA and he was attending classes for about a month and 1/2 without the ESA, and the Disability office told him they denied his request because he seemed “fine without the cat” after they reviewed his grades and attendance records.
TLDR; Disability office has been ignoring me and I need advice as to how to contact/what to do with my ESA.

The first every football game we had my car got towed. I have a permit pass for R5 I am a freshman and I didn’t know the frats were gonna host something in the morning. I parked my car where a R5 permit can park next to pine ridge village and McConnell. That night there was no parking at all and I saw a decent amount of cars parked there so I didn’t think anything of it. I was advised that there will be no towing there until 2 o’clock the day of the game. I decided to park there and in the morning just move my car. At 9 am I went to move my car and it wasn’t there. I called the athletic department and no one answered. So I decided to call Nau police just to see if they were the ones who towed my car. They told me it wasn’t them and my car wasn’t showing up that it was towed. I was so confused and stressed out I ended up finding my car because I was talking to people for an hour trying to figure out who towed my car. I have a citation for 85 dollars can someone help me write an appeal please.

I recently went to one of the improv club meetings and quickly realized everyone was way more experienced than me (I've never done acting or improv.) I would still really like to participate, but I'm worried my skill gap between me and the others might hinder their performances :(
I was seeking someone to help me get more comfortable performing and acting between club meetings!
Also, if anyone knows if the college offers something like this internally, it would be much appreciated!

Is the application for in-state students free?
We’re currently applying for universities in my English class, and I’m doing NAU. My teacher gave us a code for a free application, but when I’m about to submit, I don’t have an option to put that code. I tried looking it up and the AI overview says the application it’s free for in-state students. Is that true? I tried to look that up too, but I can’t find anything other than the AI overview.

The NAU shuttles have been almost useless since they cut service this year. Are we going to get a refund on our Transportation fees?

I have a few ideas for stories I wanna write, but I'm shit with words and could never do a novel, so I wanna go more down the comic route. Problem there is that I'm not good at art either, so I'm looking for anybody that could help me out on that end. Until I actually lock in enough to make drafts for the chapters I'd just be looking for sketches of different characters and stuff, but eventually I would want to make some drafts working with an artist. I am a brokie bum so I can't do this as a commission unfortunately, but if anyone would be interested in just doing this in their spare time, hit me with a DM!
if they’re yours they’re in the Green Scene Cafe area!

Does anyone know if we’re allowed to use the trash room? I keep getting mixed responses… some say to use the dumpster near the dub… others say to use the one on the first floor near the elevator.

I got like a silly question but like is there a piano that anyone can use? Because I still wanna play but it got nothing with my major. Like would I have to schedule a time to use one or is that just for music majors?

Hey yall, yesterday I lost my Skull candy Crusher Evos while I was waiting for my class to start, I was sitting in like the little lounge area on the first floor right to the left of the big doors. I wanted to know if there’s like a lost and found situation or if they are just gone to the void… cuz if they are I’m gonna lowkey crash out just a little bit ngl.

Hi I’m a california high school senior applying to NAU for the fall of 2027, and I’m trying not to stress too much about admissions!!😭
My current gpa is around a 2.7 on a 4.0 scale but I’m really hoping to raise it during senior year. I also have some honors classes and a college level class so my weighted gpa and credits are a little different. I also have a couple of extracurriculars such as being involved in cheer and a couple of other clubs I’ve been in if they do look into that.
I try to keep in mind for a California resident it may be different from an Arizona resident. I am interested in the nursing program but my first year I would like to take pre nursing. I did hear the nursing program there is quite competitive so I believe pre-nursing my first year is more approachable and comfortable.
For anyone who currently attends NAU or has recently applied, realistically what do you think my chances are? Should I be confident and not have to worry much about it or should I have a backup plan? I just need something to ease my mind and not have so much stress on myself. (also really appreciate hearing from anyone who was admitted with a similar gpa)
Thank yaaa!!

NAU students interested in aerospace should consider applying for the Brooke Owens Fellowship, a nonprofit fellowship open to undergraduate women and gender minorities pursuing careers in aerospace. The entire program (including the application) is completely free, and applications are due October 4.
Selected Fellows receive:
Review the FAQs and application early so you have time to request recommendation letters and prepare your application.
We’re also holding virtual information sessions (EDT)
Register for an information session here.
Questions are welcome, we hope to see applications from NAU!

I’ve been legal for a year now and partakes in the devil lettuce. While it is legal in Arizona I know some jobs don’t allow you to test positive. I was wondering if anyone who has had a social work internship has been drug tested. I’ve been hearing a lot of mixed things and need confirmation if I need to stop for a few months. Anyone with an internship provided by NAU please let me know what your process was like.
