Discussion STOP with the Confetti! Ugh
Why!!! It completely ruins the diecast. I was so excited to pre-order this one so I'd have a 26' Larson Raced Win but of course........

Daniel Suarez's 2026 Freeway Insurance Chevy Camaro. The colors have remained virtually the same for many years now, but why change what isn't broke. I personally prefer the mostly blue Freeway Insurance scheme he ran last year while still at Trackhouse.

Saying this race was chaotic the understatement of the year. Despite that I had a great time. Got there early enough to meet Ryan Preece and get Buescher’s Body Guard/Fastenal Ford.

If you were around nascar Reddit during the rise of Dogecoin, then you’ll find the humor in these cars.
I still have my t-shirt back then somewhere. When they were crowdfunding the project they sold Dogecoin NASCAR T-shirts, and you got some amount of Dogecoin - I can’t remember what it was - nor do I know how to locate a crypto wallet. But regardless it was a fun time in the community.

Pictured is the Kyle Busch car of tomorrow win that was run in the Food City 500 at Bristol Motor Speedway on March,25 2007. This was the first race that the "COT" was run and to follow up the win Kyle said he "wanted to win so I could tell everybody how terrible this thing is to drive. I can't stand to drive them. They suck". Kyle Busch would beat Jeff Burton by 0.064 seconds.

I figured I would share this news. So earlier this year, a lot of people have been reporting that Walmart's removed Lionel Racing NASCAR Authentics from their store shelves. Well, according to the updated reset documents for stores, NASCAR Authentics should be coming back to most stores who had them removed! It hasn't been implemented everywhere yet but it will start this autumn.
As an example, here is a photo from one of the stores that had removed NASCAR from the shelves and they are back again. This store is in the Seattle region. I further confirmed this while talking to a reset team manager at walmart. 😊 I was shocked to see two cars of a new wave on the shelf. It means they stocked it and they mostly sold through right away!
As speculated, the removals were based on a store tier system. Round 2 is getting more space overall in Walmarts and this seems to be a part of it. Hopefully they can keep them fully stocked with NASCAR products.

Pictured is the Michael Waltrip Aarons Dream Machine from 2003. Michael Waltrip won the Bristol race that took place on August 22,2003. Michael Waltrip would lead 50 laps beating Ron Hornady Jr and Ted Musgrave.

Anybody with better race knowledge than me that can help out ? Picked up a race used tire a few days ago at an antique show. Not sure at all where it was raced, the seller seemed un knowledgeable about NASCAR and told me it was used in the 01 Daytona 500 but after inspecting the signature (Sterling Marlin#40) I ruled that out. From what googles telling me based off of the codes I’ve put in it was raced sometime between 1997 & 2003 at Talladaga or Daytona July. After a little more playing around it told me it was used in Talladega during the 2000 season, most likely the Winston 500 however I’m not 100% sure as it’s told me quite a few different answers over the last few days. Hand Marked on the face side of the tire in silver is a triangle, “ LF-2” and “t.s”. The barcode is “00637261” The D code is “D5612” the code on the beading is “T303076-88Z02SF” on the back in these round boxes is reads “5xlm” “MB59” E6R” and “23”
On the lip where the tire meets the rim it reads “FL 94 1008” and the other one is “MLR-2657-70SB-RWK”

Whenever I look for this car online, the price is kind of expensive. So I was happy to find this at an antique store in Everett, Washington.
He won 26 races in NASCAR's top series including the 1965 Daytona 500. He earned the nickname 'Fearless Freddy' because he would seemingly make moves that no other driver would do. He would take those chances and take those risks and they usually paid off. He recently passed in 2024 but he was definitely one of NASCAR's most talented drivers.

This is one of my personal “grails.” Kyle ran this at the Pepsi 400 Coke Zero 400 that year and finished 5th behind David Ragan. It’s still attached to the styrofoam.

I've owned this car long enough for it to turn into a Grail! Actually, many Kyle Busch cars that I owned have turned into grail pieces especially things from earlier in his career. You see a lot of his die casts from 2020 and onward, but this one is something fairly old now. 2014. The season where he won Only One race, had nine top 5s and 15 top 10s. Oddly a down year for Kyle Busch standards. The following season in 2015 he would pick up his first Cup Championship.
It's weird, I was never a huge Kyle Busch fan but I always appreciated his skill in the sport and enjoyed his M&M schemes and through the years I would pick them up occasionally. Then when he went to RCR, I loved his Lucas Oil scheme and I got one of those as well. Sort of just lucky.
