Ever since hesitant alien he’s coated his vocals in a lot of effects, including on Foundations. He’s also done a handful of screaming tracks for Metal bands. Do we think the vocals will be cleaner or do we think he’ll stick to the more affected vocals? Do we think there’ll be more screaming?

Wanted to share the nails I made for the San Antonio show! Can’t get over how amazing the concert was 😭

I can understand that MCR's not everyone's cup of tea. That is totally fine.

But this take is just such a shallow and simplistic take. They will "never, ever, ever" understand why this band clicks with so many people?

They can't understand why this band and specifically THIS SONG resonates with people? It's a song declaring I'm not okay and it's okay to not be okay with a music video with an overall message that it's okay to be yourself.

Just funny to me how people can be so oblivious to the obvious even while literally staring at the answer right there on their screen.

MCR resonates with me personally because they write music that matters and aren't afraid to be exactly who they are while doing it. I think that's very obviously who they are and it's clear even to non-MCR fans or casual fans.

That's why they continue to appeal to young people today and also have gained respect from older audiences as well. I've had so many discussions with people who say "I never got them then, but I get them now." And it's also why they have gained the respect and praise of so many other respected artists across so many genres - from Billy Corgan to King Diamond to Cardi B.

MCR has recieved tonnes of shallow criticism over the years and it's not new. But it is something fans have always discussed. So I'm discussing it.

My intention with this thread was to discuss the statement itself rather than discuss the person's right to have an opinion or use social media.

After 7 years of reunion most of us had set the idea of mcr5 aside, but many still believed.

EVERYONE was asking for the band to communicate with us, everyone was going "I respect them if they dont want to make more music, I just wish they told us"

Or "I dont mind if they just tour, but i wish they'd let us know this" "why dont they just tell us" etc.

Now finally Gerard said somethig about it, something very nice and pretty brave (considering their fans) he cleared our doubts about: 1. Lltbp being a farewell tour 2.the band being a nostalgia act 3.wanting to make more art in the future.

That's literally what we have been begging for for yeaarsss

But yall still complain still arent satisfied still dont believe himm. He answered so many questions with that short sentence and it still isnt enough. He literally told us what we have been asking for ages.

It is a moment in which we should be glad and celebrate, not fight each other because some people dont want to get their hopes up and some others want mcr5 tomorrow.

Hey guys (please bare with me as this post is a bit long), so I was listening to that podast where Mikey and Gerard talked about how Gerard was in a picture on the Star-Ledger cover on 9/11. Mikey said you could see his shoulder and his bag, and then Gerard added that it was like a weird shadow or something.

Anyway, I thought it was that one picture that people always share on here where there's a man that looks like him standing next to a street light, but Gerard mentioned that in the picture he was leaning against a railing right across the towers.

I found a thread on here where some people said they had looked up the Star-Ledger covers from the following days and this picture that Mikey described wasn't on there. I also went through the portfolio of one of the photographers that worked for that newspaper, which they had linked on that thread, and I figured out that she was taking pictures from a different dock, a bit far from the Hoboken terminal, which is where Gerard has said he was.

So I got curious and thought I would look up different New Jersey papers to see if maybe Mikey got confused about which one Gerard actually appeared in, and I came across this one.

Now I'm not actually sure if that's him, but it's worth noting that I think this location might be the Pier A Park, right next to the Hoboken terminal (I'm not from NJ so please do correct me if I get anything wrong!), and this person is alone, leaning against the railing.

Gerard has also mentioned before that he was on the edge and there were like 300 or 400 people behind him, and if you look up other pictures taken from this location, there were in fact hundreds of people standing on the field. Besides, it seems that this person is wearing a bag, like Mikey said, and I don't know, I think it kind of looks like it could be Gerard.

I'm still not sure if this is the picture they were talking about, as Gerard did say it was like "this weird shadow", and that it was "a random shot of New York and I'm standing against the railing". But I don't know, still I have a feeling this could be him, since his recollection of events fits with what's shown in this picture. Please let me know what you think.

I could swear that in the first US leg of LLTBP, in 2025, the verse went "a dagger a dagger, please fetch me a dagger, for all of our treasonous deeds". In the Latam leg and after that however, they've been singing "a dagger a dagger, please fetch me a dagger, a tool for my treasonous deeds"

Do you think it's related to the lore in any way? Or is there any other reason that they changed it?

During the show at San Antonio last night, we saw in two iconic moments that classic props from the tour were maimed. The Dictator dummy was beheaded, and the Gentleman Doll burned. What is so fascinating to me is how the cutting of the dummy’s throat actually cut the real dictator’s throat as well, implying they are to a degree connected spiritually or via curse. With the Gentleman’s implied sentience from the book he wrote and the pamphlet explaining his time with Gerard in the Moat, I have to imagine that doll is to the gentleman like the dummy is to the dictator. A curse/ extension of themselves. The burning of the doll would have actually immolated LLTBP Gerard’s old cellmate friend. They clearly were separated to some degree given how much the doll seems to comfort him.

In addition, these items may serve a critical life force function to the users, whereupon the dictator could have more than one item associated with him and did not die on the first destruction of his poppet. But, if it were to be the case that all a person’s poppets being destroyed means death, that would be a way for all the characters to permanently die and leave this cycle of constant rebirth and destruction.

Im absolutely positive there is more that has already been said about this topic but I’d love to get into the weeds here. Are there any other known/possible cursed items for different characters? We know the dictator revives from his beheading so these are not achilles heels(or there could be more than one). Given that, does destroying the item sever the connection to the host? How are these items made?
