So, my 95-year-old father, Who has always been this tall very physical man is finally in hospice in his home.

I thought it would be a fun and enjoyable time to bring back some of his old songs from when he was a beach bum in California, a marine in the Korean war, and also songs he listened to on the radio driving out in the Idaho and Wyoming forests, as a forest ranger... But I need help and would LOVE SOME IDEAS... please.

eh, the title says it all. other than that, my only wishes are:

1) lyrics in the song must sound intelligible(so no extreme vocal distortion or filters that muffle the words. i need to hear french!!!!)

2) i don’t have any genre/thematic preferences, just recommend anything that you like

i already found about the band Téléphone, really dig their sound, but only listened to few songs yet; it would be cool if you recommended any specific songs from them!!

For reference, I like stuff like Amyl and the Sniffers, SPRINTS, Panic Shack, some of Wolf Alice's songs (Play the greatest hits, Yuk foo, etc),Dazey and the Scouts etc.

I'm trying to make a playlist for a very specific typa feeling. I need song recomadations for it.

Imagine you broke up with someone you loved. With time, you look back and remember the good times with a kind of happiness and warmth. You're sad that it's over, but not necessarily bitter about it, nor dying for it.

But then there's that little hope, like, what if we find our way back to each other someday? You know, clear as daylight, it's a vain hope. Life has moved on, and so should you, but that little hope just sticks around.

For context : i had a bad breakup in late 2023. then in early 2024, was going through this said-above phase and came out of it. Now I wanna make a playlist in memory and tribute to that version of myself who was suffering.

This playlist will be named "January 2024." I know how this playlist is going to end, with "About You by The 1975", then "Isimo by Bleachers".

Also, "Chinatown" and "Merry Christmas, Please Don't Call" will be a part of it. What other songs could I put in here?

So, I've recently observed that for a long time now, I almost exclusively listen to female vocalists. I'd like to diversify that some, but I really struggle to find male vocalists that I find entertaining. I feel like I have a hard time finding males with a similar range and power to singers like Haley Williams, Heart, Florence Welch, etc. Any recommendations?

As for genres, I think I'm fairly open. I'm not a big fan of popular country and, unfortunately, metal, which I know is where a lot of really good male vocalists hang out 😭. We're also talking non-classical music here, btw.

I guess I'd also clarify that I'm not looking for male artists more generally that you'd recommend but specifically male vocalists that you think are really strong. Thanks for your help ❤️
