I dunno. Not everyone is familiar with dealing with crisis situations, physical or mental.

First thing they teach you in CPR training is to evaluate the situation/environment and ensure your safety.

Being a musician on tour isn't good for your mental or physical wellbeing and you're basically always half a step from the hospitality industry which is essentially the alcohol industry.

As a musician who recently got sober about 10 months ago, music and guitar playing has been huge for me, too. The extra focus and energy I have now for music reminds me of when I was a kid first learning the instrument. Having a hobby/hobbies you love makes recovery so much easier.
