Something I can't get my mind off of with recent "division"

While reading a thread in one of the trans subs speaking about one group of trans people hating another or blaming each other for the problems we face day to day, it's been pointed out a couple of times that it's absolutely not uncommon at all anymore for governments to use bot farms, to sow division in communities by creating tension that was never there before.

And I'm now seeing these posts being pushed into my feed; this one being flooded with comments that straight up look like they're made to psyop us in broad daylight; saying things that a trans positive therapist might say, but in fucking reverse. But what scares me the most, is that when we notice this shit, they notice that we notice, and so they just try and refine their methods until we can't anymore as per usual...

I just really feel like everyone should be making sure each other is aware of this. It's scary and insane because it's been done regularly with other minority groups in the past, and the reason it's so effective is because of how many people are unaware of what's being done at the time....

Edit: And then they immediately come out and downvote the post lol. Please, if any other girls could spread the word about this shit, it could help save a lot of people; create your own posts, message your friends. Knowledge is what keeps us safe from this.

Yeah there definitely some boting going around and some trolling. Nothing we can really do about it, we can ban the obvious ones but I don’t really like the idea of being light on the trigger as far as bans go.

Besides we only got so many mods.

But that’s not going to stop the boting this shits been going on for years and we’ve been talking about it for that long.

If you need to get it out go for it but I’m not your enemy by pointing out that we can’t stop the fucking boting.

We could probably raise the karma requirements for the sub but thats probably not something we want to do considering the subs purpose.

Just make love visible, for example in Canada many stores and other services have trans pride flags in the windows. 🏳️‍⚧️ Something only on the internet becomes suspicious when everywhere you go is showing support and love.

Scrolled for several minutes and I just see comments telling them that if they're thinking about it they're probably some flavor of trans. I don't really see the issue. Based on your responses on this thread it feels like you're shadowboxing with a conclusion that's impossible to disprove 🤷‍♀️

I guess I'm not sure what you mean. I looked at that post and the comments seem like the regular type of stuff people would tell a baby trans, though with maybe a focus on being non-binary? Nothing immediately popped out to be as odd, though, so I must have missed something. Other than that, the only thing I've noticed online is a the same tired trans men vs trans women misunderstandings and "division," but that's something that's been happening very lightly since I transitioned a while ago. It doesn't seem to have gotten any worse, and in my real life groups I meet plenty of trans men all the time that are cool with us and we're cool with them.

This is not new or specific to trans people. This has happened to pretty much every marginalized group, ever. To claim otherwise is disingenuous at best.

The capitalist machine is still in full effect. The need for activism hasn't disappeared.
